Hi,It used to be that I needed to fill every moment of every day ... I'd surround myself with friends & strangers...because I love people, and love hearing their stories. I'm thankful for great friends, many dating back to high school, and many made throughout my life, in the many cities where I've lived, studied, worked and traveled..... I enjoy lots of different activities - biking, swimming, kayaking, urban hiking..... I appreciate artsy and trendy, music and dancing, theater and traveling......and I also enjoy being at home. I have a fond appreciation for handy "do it yourself" types of folks and enjoy second hand stores...I'm pretty independent, so I don't need someone to take care of me, but I wouldn't mind having someone in my life ....in fact, yeah, I think I'd like it.... Oh geez, so new at this. I came from a background of working very hard - started working at a horse stable at age 11, pitching manure to earn my first horse (at 50 cents an hour). Worked my way up to training, showing, etc horses. Love horses. Unfortunately, no longer involved but wish I were. I work in Mutual Funds now at a bank. Would love to meet someone who is casual, loving, likes the outdoors or a quiet night at home, and travel. I like anything from having a couple beers with friends around a camp fire, to enjoying a great meal on the beach in the Caribbean. I enjoy drawing (art, horses mainly of course), music - still trying to learn guitar - lol. Love obscure books, great poetry. Love to laugh, am an excellent cook. Family comes first (love my nieces & nephews to pieces). I have been moved deeply by volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, the Veterans Home, and other organizations. Gentlemen preferred. :-) Update (Feb. '***I have had a great amount of wonderful guys favorite me or want to meet me on this site. Would love to meet up, but need to take a time out for a couple months. Just found out I have cancer & need to go through treatment for a couple months. I am in a positive frame of mind & know I can kick the big C in the teeth. So fellas, give me some time off & try again in a couple months.
