At university I joined the fencing club, mainly just to increase the persona my housemate had of me. But also because it is fantastically useful when a conversation needs rescuing, and is a lot more interesting than playing football. I really do hate talking about myself, or know what to say. I really just love to happy, to have someone to be in contact with. To look forward to seeing them or getting a text from, it just makes a day a lot more enjoyable, to have someone to think about. In my 'interests' I have put down 'thinking' and this is because I love to have moments during the day where I just let an idea take over my head, and I escape from reality thinking about this one topic, usually something philosophical, and whilst in the bath. My current thought is on re writing a story I wrote in year four about a fish in a goldfish bowl. The classic scenario of a lovingly home cooked meal, with jazz playing in the background, lit candles, and a bottle of red wine, where we both pretend that we can taste the flavours described on the back, would unfortunately not be an option. The reason for this is my rather limited cooking ability. I can only make one dish, pea and ham soup. It is very good, but not quite a full meal. An ideal first date is tailored by the interests of the female. To take her or engage her in an activity that she loves or wishes to try. Therefore I have no preset plan for a first date, as long as somewhere along the date there is a bottle of red wine.
