I learn from my mistakes and keep on moving forward. I have a good head over my shoulders. I'm looking for a caring, honest, independent, outgoing and funny partner. I'm picky about who I date.

Doesn't that say it all!...Or should we just jump in the car and drive?Hi-thanks for your interest! A little about me. I like being active and having fun. Therefore, this requires company that can enjoy the dance. Seriously, I can be intense or not, middle of the road doesn't describe me. I enjoy spending time with friends, meeting new people, listening to music and making new adventures. I value family and friends, take care of myself, enjoy nature, music, dancing, reading, animals and much more. I hate to be bored! I enjoy a wide range of music and like to go to live music venues.I have been working on landscaping my yard. I enjoy gardening. I have cycled the entire Katy Trail and I also have a road bicycle. I like horses, love a fire indoors or out, the water, canoeing, boating, paddle boards and wave runners! I would enjoy a motorcycle if you have one, or riding in your convertible~ I don't care much for heights but other then that I am pretty adventurous. I am frequently told that I look much better/prettier in person than in my pictures.I am looking for a partner that can grow emotionally, that values intimacy. I value open, honest communication and I believe with effort and communication you can work almost anything out. I am very curious and like to learn. I don't give up, I am a very determined person with passion. I am mentally, emotionally and financially stable. I don't have any addictions, except maybe coffee in the morning. I like to try and eat healthy most of the time. I would like a companion, but I don't need a companion. My ideal man will be able to handle his own life and capable of intimacy with others. A non-smoker would be perfect! I don't want to be in the mother role with your children (although I love children and have three of my own) but I do believe families are important and expect to share that time with the right person. I have a grandson and I enjoy spending time with him. I value integrity, intelligence, attractiveness and an awesome sense of humor. I think it is great if you can play an ***, sing or dance. Long term I'd love to find a partner that adores me and wants to be with me, but is stable and independent and has his own interests away from me, and values me having my own personal interests.I understand everyone has a past and baggage, it is all in how you carry your luggage from this point on. If communication is difficult for you, I am probably not your best match. I believe in communication and need to be with a man that is capable of working in a relationship. If you are thinking of sending me a message you might want to know that I probably won't respond to short greetings such as "Hey", "Hi", "Nice profile", "How are you" etc. The message doesn't have to be deep but it does need to have some substance. (Thanks)Take Care!I would like to get together in a public place and talk, possible walk in a park, have coffee, maybe a glass of wine, a piece of pizza a glass of beer; just get to know each other. I think at that point we can figure out whether we want to date or what our interest level is. So a first date could really be anything reasonable and hopefully fun.: )

New Recent Pic - Not overly involved in the Online dating thing - but you never know.**************************************************************************************************************I moved to Vancouver Sept ***, Have settled nicely into my "as permanent as it gets" home in the Mount Pleasant area. I spent my time between family and friends I have close by, reading, cooking healthy food ( I'm in the process of trying to change my body and hopefully my outlook on life a bit too), exercising, and trying to figure out what I want to do with the next phase of my life.I'm a well educated, intelligent, somewhat sarcastic and apparently unusually pragmatic woman. Some of the Vancouverisms I have encountered make me shake my head - some I find I am adopting the longer I live here. That said - I am still the kind of girl who brings her own axe on a camping trip and is perfectly capable of splitting her own wood. Mind you - if you're better at it than I am, I'm happy to sit back and enjoy the view...I'd love to meet someone I "click with" to hang out with and get to know better. Hopefully someone who is excited to get out and do things in and around this fantastic city ( I can be a an introvert and a bit of a home body on my own). I'd love to be in a relationship a man who understands that it takes time and a mutual effort to get to know each other - Chatting online does not count. No one is perfect and we are all on our own journey. Do you think your paths might cross with mine? I realize that sounds cliche but then - cliche's find their roots in truth. One of my reasons for moving to Vancouver was to improve my life and provide an environment where I would be more successful in improving myself. While I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt ( and lets face it - there is a lot of doubt when you meet someone online) I have a very low tolerance for drama. That said, if you think we might enjoy each others company or be part of each other's journey, drop me a line and we can go from there. In the mean time - I'll be living my life and wish you the best in yours. Cheers and good luck to all.Although I try to be optimistic - let's start with something short and sweet that can be extended if we want to. Grab a coffee and hit a trail or the sea wall.
