Please, please, please do not use the “let’s do it again”, “I’d like to get together again” etc unless that truly is your intent – I’m straightforward and I assume you are also. So when I’ve been told that, I truly have believed it, then been left wondering later what happened? ***, a simple, “I had a nice evening, please travel safely” – would suffice, you can always contact me later, if you change your mind. Also if you would like to move on to a second meeting “I had a great time, if you’d like to get together again, let me know” I find more comfortable than putting someone on the spot, and also gives a person time to think about how the first meeting went and what the future possibility might be… This dating thing is hard enough without the pressure and games that can sometimes go with it because people are afraid to be honest or don’t want to feel awkward or embarrassed.
