I am in the process of a divorce from a controlling "man" who happens to be the father of my 4 kids. I have primary full custody of my oldest son ***yrs old, and 50% custody of my other 3 children). I'm a bit old fashioned and I hope to find someone to form a friendship with first, and then build on that. I’m not looking to jump into a physical relationship right away. I am a very affectionate person and enjoy being in the company of friends and family. I am a caring, friendly, spontaneous, honest and romantic person. I enjoy going out spending time with friends, but also like to spend a quiet night at home. I am just as comfortable in a dress & heels as I am in boots, jeans and flannel shirt. I don’t go work-out every chance I get, but I'm not a couch potato either. I don't have the athletic abilities that I would like, but I enjoy getting out for a walk, or a hike. I love listening to music, mostly country, but I enjoy many genres. As shallow as it is to put this in, unfortunately it’s human nature, but appearance is important for that initial attraction. After that it’s all about feeling that connection. I’m pretty open minded about what I find attractive in a man. The first thing I usually notice is eyes, and smile/teeth. If you take good care of your teeth, you probably take care of yourself. You should be healthy, but don’t obsess about working out. I believe that chivalry should not be a thing of the past, it’s just good manners. Yes I can open the door myself, but it’s nice when a man opens it for me. I believe that honesty is extremely important in a relationship, without it the relationship has no future. You must be drug and disease free and a non-smoker.My kids and grand kids are a big part of my life, they kept me going during my divorce and I spend as much time with them as I can. If you're looking for a frilly girl just keep on looking because that's sooo not me. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, even LIKE getting a little grease under my nails! I also like to read, draw, and just curl up on the couch and watch tv or a movie. Laughing daily is a law, and if it's not, it should be. I've been told my sense of humor is a little warped. I don't argue with that. I tend to see the humor in most everything. I'm happy with my life. Love my family. Never been a materialistic person. I'm not looking for someone to take care of me. I can do that just fine. Just looking for someone who likes some of the same things I do to share my time and dreams with. I'm not the least little bit religious, so, if you're a church goer I'm probably not what you're looking for. Most people tell me I don't look my age, and I certainly don't act it. It would probably be a good idea if you didn't either. I'm not trying to be rude but if you look like somebody on Duck Dynasty or you ride a Harley, I'm most likely not interested. I think the first date should be somewhere quiet, but MUST be in public place. Maybe a quiet restaraunt, or meet somewhere for a drink, or a nice walk in the park, even a museum. Anywhere where conversation could come easily.
