I believe in and try to live by the adage, say what you mean, mean what you say.I am very much defined right now by being a single parent. In addition to my son I have now taken on my nephew. My son is 11 and he and I have been pretty much on our own since he was born, his mother passed away in early ***. My nephew, well....I am not the best person to take care of him perhaps, but I am the best available person.I currently have my own business that deals with a variety of IT and security infrastructure issues.L.F.My business gets me to many different places and I meet many people but they are usually one- No flirting around the water cooler for me.I am a loyalist, had a mac since ***, even through the lean years, I had a Duo and a Centris. At the same time I find dogmatic followers of anything, at least slightly objectionable. Opinions are opinions and facts are facts, please keep the two separate and distinct.I like the out of doors and used to live in the country. I find apartment living a bit constraining. I like open windows, open curtains, friendly smiles, not too much of that where I live now. The convenience of not having a road to plow myself makes the winter a bit sweeter, if there was snow that is. I look forward to moving back to the country and would like to find someone who is also looking at that lifestyle. I would like to build a home myself, straw bale or some other friendlier method than standard construction.No pets now, but I like animals and they like me. I am planning for goats and chickens again as well as cat and dog. Not really pets, but there will be tilapia as well.I like to garden, vegetables and flowers, gotta have a greenhouse again.I have a moderately well kept house, you would not be afraid to use my bathroom or eat from my kitchen.I like almost all food and I absolutely love to cook, but shy away from hot and spicy that detracts from flavor. If it blisters your lips and makes your eyes water, eating it is a form of self abuse I can pass by.Movies and shows:Wild Target with Bill Nighy, Hara-Kiri: Death of a Samurai, Wire in the Blood, Ca$--ëS.G. Not just the loss of the books, but the memories of where they were bought, who they were read with, or to. I have electronic copies of books and it is not the same. And lastly, my brag sheet has a few fun things on it.-over on during my screen time, but lots of fun) I like the concept of a short meet and greet before any actual dating, something to drink while we size each other up for axe murderer tendencies.(not saying that would keep me from going on a date, just keep to more public venues)If we think we might like something more, I am pretty much game for anything. I want a partner to be happy and feel comfortable. I would during our short initial meeting try to feel out what environment would make you have a great date and then try my best to make that happen.
