About Me

Hi guys..... So a bit about me; I'm fun loving, easy to get along with, have a good career and my own home and a beautiful new car! I have two missing pieces in my life, a dog and a lovely fella to share good times and lots of wine with! I'm incredibly fortunate and I have a large circle of friends of all ages, shapes and sizes... I'm often busy camping, sailing boats, going to parties or just popping to the pub for one after work (so handy working and living in central Ipswich) and ideally I would like to be able to share all these things with a partner in crime! Although I am a grown up now, if you asked my best friend to describe me she would say "she looks and appears like butter wouldn't melt, but she's a DEVIL when she wants to be".So I work for a big insurance broker in Ipswich, and I've done well in my career. As a result I often get to travel with work, but unfortunately this is only in the UK at the moment. I have a couple of clients in Spain, so of course I am engineering myself a cheeky little visit. When I'm not busy at work, out with friends (in the pub) I try to stay active and I've been with a personal trainer for the last few months. I've decided this is the year for fitness and giving up my filthy habit (smoking, naughty....) I've been managing to train 3 times a week, and just signed up to do one of those 5k muddy races. I am seriously considering putting my name down for a parachute jump?!?!? Any advice on the parachute jump would be appreciated......You won't see me dancing on tables anymore, I've kind of been there done that and I'm loving the idea of spending quality time with the right person, and planning cycling trips, camping weekends or just walking the dog (the one I haven't got yet) :-)I love my beach holidays and I have been fortunate enough to have visited some lovely places in my life, with many more on that list to tick off....So enough about me, drop me a message if you like what you hear and see. Hey, if we meet and we don't have that spark then maybe we'll have each found a new friend...Going for a nice drink or a coffee so we can chat and have lots of laughs..... Hopefully !

    I am well travelled and I have been to many places as I am an ex air hostess, so I have been lucky enough to travel 5 star to Jamaica, Barbardos, Dom Rep, Mexico, Cuba, America and Canada, however I have been known to 'rough it' also as I have backpacked round Oz and Thailand, making one pair of knickers last 6 days!!! I like to get away for city breaks and have visited Prague, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Paris, and Budapest and I have the opportunity to travel with my current job visiting the US and Germany. You can't beat a nice weekend in the Lakes - I am originally from Cumbria so it is nice to get back up to see everyone. I also try to get to my parents apartment out in Spain as much as possible to get the flip flops out and see the sun. I like to meet up with friends at the weekend for a catch up with a meal or a few drinks in their home cities in either Preston, Manchester or Liverpool. I like to push myself out of my comfort zone now and again to get the heart beating a little faster - I have ski-dived, bungie jumped, scuba-dived, had a ride in a hot air balloon and white water rafted. I am a snowboarder and I have boarded in Canada, Italy, France and Austria, you can't beat a skiing/boarding holiday and would choose one over a beach holiday any year. Next on my adventure 'tick list' is to go on Safari in Africa to track down the big 5. I keep very busy in the week with my job. I love the pressure and the social aspect that comes with my job, my career is very important to me. I live in my own home with my beautiful little boy who makes me laugh and smile every day. He is the one that has made me who I am today. My son does see his dad regularly, which is great for them both, and great for me too as I get 'Rachel' time (and time to date) ;o) Likes - My family and friends, morning coffee, aftershave that when you take a deep sniff it makes you feel all light headed, Betty Boop, the sun, the snow, animals, steak, kissing in the rain, kisses that make your tummy turn (in a good way!), jumping into bed with clean crisp bedsheets, talking, listening and my favourite tipples would be wine and vodka. Dislikes - the phrase 'LOL', text speak, clutter, laziness, spiders, liars, ironing, creased clothes, bad teeth, my own stubborness, whiskey, sushi (it may not be that I dislike it, I just don't really get it - maybe I just need educating on that one), wearing socks in bed and bad manners. I am honest, friendly, hard working, confident, outgoing and independent.An ideal first date would be a drink in a nice pub/bar where you can have a chat and see if you click. If there is no click there is nothing lost, just another experience gained.
