About Me

I've learned that being a Single Mom and not spending weekends at the Club or Bars makes it hard to meet Men. Not that I would want to date someone I met in a bar.... If it worked out, how do you explain that one to your kids when you try to *** them that being a barfly is NOT what you want to be when you grow up? ;-)I read over my previous profile and it still fits, so here goes....I am a tall, blonde BBW. I adapt to any situation whether it's bbq'ing in the backyard with friends having some drinks or going to an upscale club. I love music, mostly hip hop and rap although I have a very eclectic style of music with albums from some Green Day to Tech N9ne, India Arie and Enya to Pistol Annies.I love coffee, watching reruns of Friends, tattoos, rainy days, avocados, reading a book, sunflowers, dogs, the beach, horses, going for a drive, spending time with my son, dark chocolate, lily's, watching a football or basketball game, fresh tomatoes from the garden and watching funny movies. You will usually find me in a pair of comfy jeans, a tank top or tee and flip flops. I'm quite casual to a fault. I was recently described as someone who doesn't need to be "maintained". I am not high maintenance, I enjoy the little things in life and love to be appreciated for who I am. I am a love me or hate me type of girl. I have my friends, and I'm fine with that. I've learned over the last few years that quality is ALWAYS better than quantity. Size Acceptance is something I am super passionate about. I won't tolerate fat jokes, you don't know that persons history, or medical issues. So, I would speak up if I ever heard someone. I am looking for someone who could be my best friend. Laugh with me when I do something klutzy, or have a blonde moment, or just acting like the dork that I am. Make me feel that sense of security and that I am totally and completely loved unconditionally. But yet, still my own person, not "owned" by my significant other. Someone who is honest and respectful and wants me because of who I am.Please note: Just because it says I'm looking for a relationship does not mean I'm looking for marriage. Im just trying to deter the booty call messages. And if you have read this far, you must be looking for something real also. :-)A fun first date for me would be to just hang out, get coffee or maybe go somewhere quiet enough you could talk and get to know that person better. I'm not into movies on a first date (maybe not even the second or third). I like to learn about someone before I decide to pursue whatever it is we will be doing.

    Let me just go ahead and get all of my hang ups out of the way........ I am really laid back as long as things are going my way. I just recently learned how to compromise....that's progress, right? I smack my gum. I wasn't allowed to as a child so I am totally rebelling. I think people who only listen to one genre are boring. I’m smart and love to learn new things. I get really excited when I learn something new and have the tendency to want to share it. When I share something new you have to pretend that you are extremely interested or I will start to find you boring. I have pride issues and usually won’t ask for help, even if I need it. You have to be a mind reader and know when I need help. I have control issues. I know if I’m in control it’s getting done the way I want it and when I want it done. If you decide that you want to be in control that’s fine but you better do it right and on time. I have naturally curly hair. I like my curly hair. I also dye my hair cause I’m old and I’m starting to get grey. I don’t like orange starburst or blue M&M’s. I don’t know why. I just don’t. I’m a picky eater . Lettuce is gross and people that drink milk are weird. Unless it’s in your cereal. I don’t like to cook. I can cook but I really don’t like to. I try to see the positive and beauty in everything, almost to a fault. Most of the time I am right so it’s really hard for me to admit when I am wrong. I smoke when I drink. I don’t like horses or big dogs so please don’t try to convince me that they are nice and won’t bite or kick. I don’t believe you. I’m very family oriented and close to my family. If it’s a holiday, special occasion, or a weekend we are probably all eating and hanging out….you will be forced to come. Not at first cause if my profile hasn’t scared you off yet, they will. I’m scared of spiders. You will have to kill them. If you are scared of bugs then I will think of you as less than a man and will lose all respect for you. I don’t yard work. I’m a night owl. So when I don’t have to work I like to stay up late and sleep in. While I enjoy being around people I also enjoy my alone time. I’m a procrastinator. I think it’s because I work better under pressure or maybe I’m just lazy. Other than that I am absolutely fabulous and one of the most awesome people you will ever meet!! Sometimes I’m a little conceited! =) and I really hope you have an amazing sense of humor.We will cross that bridge when we get there.
