I love car racing, NASCAR, Formula One, going to Watkins Glen and watching one of my relatives race here on weekends. I enjoy going to the movies, I pretty much like all types of movies with the exception of scary ones. I couldn't live without music, I love making homeade CD's for myself and friends. My taste in music varies, anything from Led Zepplin, The Doors, Bad Company to Mariah Carey, Robin S., some softer type rappers and International singers such as Andrea Bocchelli and Eros Rommazzati. As far as hobbies go, I like to draw, write poetry, go out dancing, nature walks and I especially love to take pictures of animals, people and nature. I enjoy making someone feel special and appreciated. I want the man I love to feel like a King, and I want him to make me feel like a Queen. My parents have been married over 62 years and are a great example of how to compromise and stay together. Too many people these days think a relationship is easy, it shouldn't be hard, but it takes work, compromise and unconditional love. I am a straightforward old-fashioned girl seeking the same. I love to cook, bake and spend time with the person I love. I enjoy the simple things in life and I have an appreciation for them. Gardening, flowers, pets, walks in the park, cooking together, and cuddling up watching an old black & white movie - the modern day ones are good too! In my spare time, I do volunteer conservation work (which mainly consists of hacking stuff down), love cinema (especially watching unusual films such as the French subtitled film Untouchable - brilliant), the theatre (Dame Judy Dench in Peter & Alice - Excellent, Spamalot very funny, War Horse A-MAZE-ING, Lost Boys - unique), restaurants of all cultures (have you ever tried Vietnamese frogs legs - surprisingly tasty, gardening and planting for a wildlife rich garden, looking after my Coy pond (yes, I clean all the mucky filters), cooking at home, walking/hiking, the countryside, seaside, city breaks and historical sites.Travelling is one of my passions - experiencing new cultures and foods. In the last 2 years, I have been to Calabria, a driving tour of French wine regions, a relaxing break in Nth Cyprus, Lisbon and Turkey - this year will be Spain, France and New York. I enjoy travelling around the UK as well as around the world.I love a good giggle, so a sense of humour is a must. I would like to 'meet' (yes, actually meet in the real world) someone who is interested in getting out and about, seeing new things and places but equally able to chill out too. Oh and they have to be single and a non smoker! I'm child friendly (have 4 God-kids and Auntie to many more) but no kids of my own.What I'd like: I'd like to spend quality time with a very nice man who has an interest in the world around him.
