Looking for: man. In age: 39-59
Hi! I'm a single, althletic, attractive, white professional female. I am an adult nurse practitioner;I really enjoy the independence I have with my job and my ability to help other people as a result. I used to be a competitive figure skater and am still quite active. I like hiking and riding my bike weekly. I also lift weights, but can't say that I like it too much, but so far it's preventing those baggy old lady arms from occurring!! What a deal, eh. I spend a lot of time with my puppy, a miniature dachshund named Sydney. I also help out a lot with my aging parents by cleaning house and taking care of their lawn. Other than that, I'm a typical female that enjoys shopping and talking on the phone.....scary, I know. I am looking for a really nice guy whom I am attracted to physically at first and then if more develops on an emotional level........great! He would demonstrate chilvalry and be caring, attentive, and thoughful. Most importantly, we would enjoy one another's company:)

I've been charged with really writing what I'm looking for in a partner. And, truthfully, I guess it's changed since the last time I wrote anything here...so, I'm going to be as honest and compassionate as I can be when writing something like this, for all of you to see. You know who I'm talking to!I am in a totally new phase of my life. I guess I'd have to say, the last third of my career and social attempt at life. I have completely changed my thinking from being pretty buttoned down, in what I thought I should be doing career-wise and who I should be hanging out with, in terms of ...men. In all honesty, I like a working man; but a working man that's smart and worldly and can put a grammatically correct sentence together; in a conversation and on paper. (Sorry guys-it's the teacher in me. Some things remain.) I used to write that 'educated' was a must, but, I guess that everyone doesn't become educated in the same way. And, different ways can still be...educated. It is still vitally important to me that you have a love of mother nature-the great outdoors for that is one of my 'drugs' along with live music and art. I crave the outdoors: mountain climbing, being near the water, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and just being in the woods. As far as the 'arts' go: I could never live without them. I receive a certain heightened experience when listening to (and usually dancing to) live music; especially jazz and blues; although I love most genres of music. I am in the throes of starting a new business which I am very excited about. I am a former school music teacher ***years) but it seems as though the educational system has become mostly dysfunctional and it is time to make room for younger educators to try and fix those issues. I still have a large private music studio for children (piano, voice, guitar, etc.) and I (mostly) love that part of my working life. I have also taught Sunday School for over 20 years and in particular, teach a group of Special Needs Adults which brings me great joy and sense of purpose. Unfortunately, I am presently living in a place that does not allow dogs, which is very hard for me. I have always had at least two Shepherd mixes. Soon! I hope that you will find what I wrote here most...sincere and intriguing.I think that a short first date for a coffee or drink is best. If the sparks fly, I like to go the Art Museum or batting cages. I love to eat out as I am a long time foodie and great cook and baker. I also like to entertain at home with friends. Is that better? No picture? Delete.

enjoy quiet evenings at home, a good movie, book and company. enjoy socializing out with family and friends, dancing, enjoy most music, new country, rock, easy listening, not rap or hard rock. enjoy a large circle of friends. Am honest and caring, looking for a companion, friend and maybe more.... i haven't hiked, or kayaked. i don't run marathon's, and i don't own a bike. I do work my best at following a healthy lifestyle, with healthy eating and exercise ***days a week at the gym. now that the weather is getting nice an occasional walk in the park or at the track. i also don't deny myself with an occasional indulgence or a lazy day. i'd say a good balance for me.not a coffe drinker so maybe tea at barnes n noble. or a drink somewhere!!
