About Me

This is so difficult trying to describe oneself online but here goes. I was married for 31 years and have done all the "work" necessary to move on in my life. For entertainment, I enjoy walking (especially with my dogs), I love to dance and I teach a line dance class here in Hutch, and I love to take motorcycle rides or short day trips in the car to various places in Minnesota. I love to sing and am involved in 3 different singing groups here in Hutch. I'm also involved in several local civic groups. Taking my therapy dogs, Harley and Collin, to visit shut-ins and the elderly is also high on my list of activities. Obviously I have filled my free time with various activities, but I am ready to scale back a bit in order to develop a relationship with that special someone.I am looking for someone who wants to create a long-term relationship. For me, honesty is a necessary component in any relationship and I don't appreciate game-playing. I am also looking for someone who has worked through all issues with their ex and is ready to move on and devote their energy to creating a new relationship with me. I tend to use humor alot in my everyday life and I appreciate a partner who likewise has a keen sense of humor and can make me laugh. I love to make other people laugh (or at least crack a smile) and I'm known for being a "jokester". I have no children. Well, I have ***legged kids--a Sheltie and 3 Collies. Two of my collies, Collin and Harley, have passed the TDI therapy dog test so we will start our therapy work life by visiting hospice patients and visiting assisted living centers..     Sundays I'm normally at church and afterwards spend time with family. Of course like everyone else enjoy going out and hanging with friends, seeing new place, but also like chilling out doing my own thing and believe everyone needs a hobby. Like everyone else been thought a lot but that only made me stronger and independent. And truth be told I'm not sure that marriage would ever be advantageous for me again, so if you feel you must get married don't bother me. Yes we are adults and why does that mean the only reason to get together is totally physical? Oh my retired job has resulted in chickens as I'm not the type of person who can set still and would rather be outdoors than setting inside. :) For those that smoke, it's something I can't be around, watery eyes and sometimes breathing makes it an issue.A public place to talk and perhaps a walk or wherever the day may take us.

    ...it seems like age has a plan for us to lose everything, hair, teeth, eyesight, hearing, height, memory... and hopefully not, but possibly our minds lol! I am not always so bleak however my long suit is most definitely honesty; I am very honest. I am a walking example of contrasts...I am complex but drama free, strong yet delicate, intense yet having very basic simple needs. I feel better about buying something second hand, than I would if someone bought me a brand name item. I am very frugal but I am not cheap. My favorite number is five. I love the lulling sound of a kittens purr, and the poetic enveloping sound of the piano. My dream of being a nursery school teacher at my own school was usurped by an offer from my student Caroline's father, who just happened to be the head of personal for the GM Trim plant here in Windsor. I am admittedly terrible at math, however no algebra involved in figuring out that a job at GM trumped anything short of a chain of Day Cares (which was unlikely to happen). And so with this fate filled moment, the major course of my life was painted. I worked for 17 years at GM.I have a passion for cars, and over the years I have owned six different convertibles. I have traveled most of North America by car which is the only way to really see the countryI would like to share my life with someone, but it is essential that we start out as friends.
