Well I have to be honest, I've been a bit gun shy when it comes to this online dating thing but I know a few people who have met the loves of their life on here so I'm here and ready to see what happens. I'll start with what I'm not looking for. I'm not looking for a casual encounter or to meet someone just for sex. I'm hoping to find that person who wants to share their life with me and me with them.If I haven't scared you off at this point I'll tell you a bit about myself. I can be pretty shy and quietbut i quickly open up if I feel comfortable. I love sports. I"m not very athletic myself, mostly due to being extremely clumsy, but I love to watch them. My favourite sport is hockey and I'm a huge Detroit Red Wings fan. I also really enjoy watching football and I enjoy going to any live sports event. My goal every summer is to learn to golf but somehow it hasn't happened yet. Maybe this summer. :) I'm very close to my family. I have 6 nieces and nephews that I adore. Most Sunday evenings, my siblings and I gather at my Dad's house for dinner. It's my favourite part of the week.My ideal first date would be casual and low-key. I like being able to talk to the person I'm out with so I think a pub for a couple of drinks would be great.

I am a sincere, genuine, caring person. Honest to a fault. (I'm a really bad liar, so I don't even bother with it) I'm kind and considerate and love to laugh! Not into extreme sports like bungee jumping or para sailing, but I would like to do some exploring this summer, maybe go to a few concerts at the zoo, or see a few movies (popcorn mandatory). I love music! Jazz, rock, classic rock, especially alt and indie rock, and musical theater, to name a few...country, hip hop, rap..not so much. I would like to meet a decent, kindhearted, loyal, honest, caring man to get to know for friendship. I'm dyslexic, so please don't judge my spelling! DYSLEXICS UNTIE! ( hee hee) . I’m interested in cultivating some new friendships, learning more about the world around me and the people in it. That being said...I want to dispel any myths about the perfect woman....I am not her! I try to make an effort to be fair and honest, so here's the bitter truth. I am a bit tired of having to apologize for the fact that I am a chubby girl.....have always been a chubby girl....and will probably always be a chubby girl....despite my best efforts and a zillion diets....alas....I remain a chubby girl. If you are a man who's ideal woman is thin....well....I will have to break your heart right now. It's a shame that a person's physique has become more important than the content of their character in this society....but *shrugs*....there ya have it! Also, I am too old and have way too much respect for myself to be someone's booty call , so if that's what you are interested in....thanks for stopping in and please keep the line moving. I need a best friend....not another notch on the bed post... I'm sorry....I know I am breaking hearts all over the Great Pacific Northwest at this point....but in the long run...honesty just saves us all a lot of time and awkward moments. Wow! Things about me, mmm let me see. I Love to enjoy life. I like to go out and have fun. I enjoy music a great deal,and pretty much all music.I especially like classic rock. Im not fond of the gangsta rap stuff, but other than that I'm good. I love to dance (didn't say I was good at it LOL) I enjoy, horror movies, reading a good book, going to the beach or the mountains, watching the sunset or sunrise,I Love roller coasters. I want to find the time to take diving lessons, I think that would be amazing. I will at some point go to Vegas and ride the coaster at the top of the Stratisphere, I would love to go white water rafting. I Love a good movie, not really fond of War movies, I see enough when I turn on the news.I have a thing for motorcycles,love them. My daughter is not found of this love of mine. Its funny how your kids try to parent you as they become adults haha.I work hard and take my responsibilities serious. I do a good job taking care of me. I feel if you work hard you should take time to play a little.I think a first date should be somewhere you can talk. Coffee or a drink somewhere. A place where eye contact can be made. :-)
