About Me

I strive to be a positive, spiritual, and healthy person. I believe that underneath it all, our essence is pure love. I am filled with love and affection and I am looking for someone who feels the same. Not a day goes by that I don't feel grateful for my life. I'm a pretty easy-going and down to earth person. This essay is serious but I can be goofy too, with the right chemistry. I recently started my own practice as a therapist which I LOVE, both the work and the business side of things. I'm originally from Long Island, NY, but have lived in many places--Boston, Paris, LA, and Chicago. Now I'm pretty much settled in Columbus. I like it but I would like it better if shared. I LOVE to hike, swing dance, go to the theater, read contemporary fiction, try new restaurants, and travel (abroad and in the US). My boys are very important to me but finding love is a definite priority too! I love anything involving nature, good food, and good conversation. I am spiritual in a non-religious way. Think about what you want with optimism and enthusiasm and it will come!!!My match is like me--together, stable, easy-going, fun-loving, and friendly. He can express himself and be romantic. He loves animals, nature, and children. He likes to be physically active and eats healthy most (but not all) of the time--gotta have room for dessert! His career is very important to him but he's also at the point in his life where a relationship is important too. I want him to be smart, thoughtful, funny and/or goofy, and a nurturer. I don't mind either way if he has kids, but it would be great if he understood the challenges of being a parent. I also would be thrilled to meet someone who also feels on a positive path (Jewish, Buddhist, atheist or agnostic please apply).A date is a date. No coffee meetings where you interview me. Hopefully we have had some great text or phone conversations so we are excited about meeting. If not, why bother? I'm not jaded by the dating process so please don't be either. A really nice first date would be going somewhere where we could have a bite to eat, drink, and listen to live music or have a pretty view of nature.

    “Hi! I am pretty laid back and easy going, outgoing... and tons of fun! I live an active lifestyle that includes things like running and doing some P90X3 workouts!! I am really not a girly girl -thus the baseball cap pictures... :-) however, I do smell pretty and care about my appearance- just minus the drama. :-) I can dress up if the occasion should arise or require! I am someone who cares about helping others, enjoys kids, and am usually drawn to those less fortunate. I cry in sappy movies or for kids or animals in need. That is not to say, I am sad.. just the opposite.... I guess you could say, I am someone whose "glass is half full" (my glass is half full and often over flowing!!!)... and at times, there may be a bluebird sitting on my shoulder! haha :-) I just have a tender heart.
