As most of my friends are now settled down I'm looking to meet new friends first of all - and you just never know where that might lead! I can be a bit quiet / shy until I get to know people, but give me time and I'll tell you everything there is to know and be a loyal friend!. I like and appreciate art - but I'm not an art snob! I HATE pretentious ppl!!! Music wise I'm a HUGE David Bowie fan. My music taste is quite wide - except for boy bands, screechy females - and c&w !!! Generally I like my music quite loud!!I like reading horror novels (as long as they're well written - not trashy ones!***Anne Rice and Chelsea Quin Yarbro are my favourite authors - and Stephen King before he got bad! You won't catch me watching 'chick flicks' often! TV wise I like stuff like Buffy, Lost, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Life On Mars, Ashes To Ashes (no really - I'm NOT a geek!) but you won't ever catch me watching Sex & The City *yawn* and I have no desire to EVER see Mamma Mia!!! aarrggghhh! I think I am a bit of a mixture really - I'm probably not your 'average' woman when it comes to my tastes / interests (well I am certainly the odd one out amongst my friends!!). That said, I'm probably not quite 'alternative; or 'cool' enough for some - the ones I consider 'trying too hard' LOL! I like what I like - I really don't give a damn if its 'cool' or totally not! I have two cats that I adore - animals are the best friends in the world! I come as a package with them - they are my babies! They were rescue kittens and I'm an over protective / adoring mother! I'm looking to meet new friends really to have a few laughs with and share some good times! Anything else is a bonus!I'm a trusting person - sometimes too much so - but with me what you see is what you get! I don't play mind games and I don't have any pretensions! I don't plan on changing to fit someone else's ideals - but that said I'm always up for learning new things and trying things - at least to see whether I like them or not! I'm not big on preconceptions - I have a pretty open mind about most things!I'd probably like to go to a nice old fashioned type pub, have a few drinks and laughs and get to know each other - see if there's any spark there. Nothing heavy - if the spark's there we'll soon know!
