About Me

Time for a change! The last 27 winters I've lived in an old log cabin in the mountains. I love my Subaru, paddle a solo canoe, like to fish (or at least meditate by the stream or river), go on walks in the woods or down city streets, attend concerts or live theater, and write poetry. Love to read books and write letters (snailmail) by a bone and soul warming wood fire, and dancing is my passion. I retired in ***after working for the Federal Government for over 25 years. I really missed nursing so in August of 200I I took on a part-time job caring for the elderly. I'm looking for a friend and lover to share life with and for a new zip code to call home. But, in all honesty, after living independently for so long, I'm not sure I know how to be a partner (autonomy vs intimacy). I guess with the right man I could always learn, Are you up for the challenge?Looking for a man who shares similar interests and has some of his own. Someone who is genuine and dares to be himself. Want a well-rounded Renaissance man who feels comfortable in jeans or dressed up. What we do in our time together or apart is not as important as how we relate to each other. There is the "you", the "me", and finally, the "we". Each of these must be nourished for a lasting relationship. Change is inevitable, it allows for growth. Want to work and play side by side with someone who truly sees me for who I am, no more/no less, and likes that person. I want to learn who you are and support you, cheer you on, hold you up, help you make your dreams a reality. Hopefully, he will do the same for me. Time is short. The past is gone. Tomorrow will come with or without us.. If you are an individual who can live in the present moment, that is, who is aware of the sound of the wind in the trees, of the feel of the sun on your skin, of the different smell of rain on pavement compared with rain on grass, of hunger in your stomach and in your heart, of another person's sadness or gladness, of a presence bigger than ourselves; a person who is fully alive and wants to share this spiritual high and other experiences with someone as passionate and as sensitive, "Hello my friend...", let's begin our journey.

Do all guys REALLY love long hand-in-hand walks on the beach, sensual kisses, cuddling on the couch in front of a movie, and pleasing their women first? C'mon, most of your profiles read the same. I bet you really like watching ball games all day long on the couch, wearing nothing but your boxer shorts, and downing box after box of Cheez-its! Lol Hi there. I'm going to be totally honest here so that I might meet the right person for me and vice versa. I'm a busy lady but I'd like to meet a nice guy. I'm a good conversationalist who likes to laugh and I make a really great and cool friend. Would enjoy spending time with someone special but am low-maintenance and can definitely appreciate a guy's busy lifestyle, especially since I can have a very hectic schedule at times, too. I'm a what-you-see-is-what-you-get type of person with no hidden agenda, and I enjoy life. I had a great relationship with my dad, and do with my brother and male friends, so I genuinely like men. I do not play games, nor will I chase. I am truly a *nice* woman and I am loyal to the end. I am a Christian, but am definitely far from perfect. I enjoy most every kind of music - except country! I love going to concerts (I recently saw RUSH - my favorite group of all time - and am headed to see Janet Jackson this fall!). I also love the beach, going to movies and shows, antiquing, car shows, boating, etc. I'd like to meet a sweet and attractive white man and I'd prefer to develop a friendship first. I'm interested in a guy who is mature, real, and does not waste time playing games. Someone intelligent, compassionate, honest, humble, easy-going, and with a great sense of humor. I'm not drawn to a particular "type." I really appreciate a hard-working and/or well-educated guy, but if he has never darkened the door of a college and has a lot of common sense, then wonderful! And if he has a Godly heart (regardless of his past), I would feel like I had hit the jackpot! :-) Is this you? If so, then please send a message if you're curious!Sorry, but please move on if you're married (separated is STILL MARRIED, boys, and I don't trespass on other marriages) or if you're trying to get over a tumultuous past relationship. EXcess baggage hovering in the background is a definite turn-off. We won't have much in common if you're "non-religious" or an atheist, either. You don't have to be an ideal example of a Christian by any means, but I do need to meet another believer. I'm not in a huge hurry; I will patiently await the right person as I am looking for someone who is unique.Did I mention that I'm a busy woman? I did and I am, but I'm still interested in meeting someone. If you're a low-maintenance man, we may just hit it off. Workaholics most welcome!! I have two jobs (a counselor and college ***, am a very involved mom, and am back in school working towards board certification in Applied Behavior Analysis which will take me another year or two to complete. I multitask a lot, so I admit that I am more of a texter than a talker. I know, I know... I grew up in the good 'ol days when people used to talk on the phone for hours, too, but I really just prefer texting these days. It's easier for me, plain and simple. Thanks so much for reading! Whether you decide to message me or not, I hope that you have a blessed day. :)Something low-key at first. Coffee, drinks, or lunch with nice conversation.

'Snapchat: deannargh' Well hello there! And you, *points* yes you... The one in the hat, stop staring it's rude! So anyway, this bit is aaalll about me =D so erm, yeah... i love music, i love movies (except that horrific horror stuff, its horrifying! *shudders*), i love comics, i love pot noodles, i love this guy --> , even if he does look more like a cucumber than a banana, i love johnny bravo, i love monday nights at liquid and since i have an over-active imagination and generally insane disposition... i also love the weird and wonderful which presents itself in the form of the mighty boosh, my dress sense, my vocabulary, my music, my shoes, and my appauling spelling... As i am sure you have noticed (and i would be worried if you haven't by now), i like to talk and waffle on about pointless things and situations, and well... i dont really fit in with the social trends of todays society! haha As for what i dislike... ahem! I dislike one word sentences, e.g. yes... you cant just put one word... its extremely pointless! i also hate bugs D= and no! i would not like to go for a drive in your nova so shove off! also, im pretty sure the cheeky girls are the most annoying thing on the planet ever! viiiile D=If you have made it this far congratulations. I'd like to point out i'm not insane i just find that people i feel less inclined to talk to see that dribble and move on (: I'm not boring either though! I do love conversation unless it's about football that is... The nova part wasn't a joke either. ***
