Please read my profile before getting in touch..thank you.. Hiya, after spending my last 20 odd plus years bringing up my two children, I'm looking for friends to broaden my horizons and get my social life up and running again. I love walking/reading/reality TV/musical theatre (dont knock it til you'v tried it...lol)...wine drinkin etc...lol..Sorry for lookin scary in pics...I know pictures are important so if you get past this bit please feel free to message me. Don't be put off by my age.. it's only a number after all.. and I'm very young at heart.Looking for my Knight on a white horse... *** really NOT interested in nsa one night stands! If I'd a pound for every offer.. lol! Time wasters and players please play with like minded peeps and waste their time not mine.. thank you.I'm quite tall and like to wear heels and so have a preference for taller guys.. I dont really like to say no pic no reply because it sounds shallow but I'm sorry 'no pic, no reply'.. :-0 Please don't ask me 'how's the fishing?' or 'how's the dating going? or 'any luck on here?' If I was dating I wouldn't be on here..it's a site I'm sure we'd all rather not be on given a choice. Guys seem quite keen to open a conversation asking about how many/previous dates..it's not something that I'm comfortable discussing.. Please note that my name is spelt with one L.As I'm looking to date I'd really rather limit my conversations to someone at least in the same country if not exactly local.. guys in Scotland and England.. I really don't see how things could work out..Would be looking to meet in quiet bar for a chat and a bit of time to get to know each other.

Aloha! I believe one can never have too many friends. The more the better! I also think the start of any great relationship is to establish a solid friendship. Your partner should be your best friend. A person you can spend countless hours talking about anything and everything. Beyond that, a great relationship takes trust, honest effective communication and a certain degree of physical chemistry between two people that view each other as equal partners. I also think that a certain amount of the chemistry between a couple is created, its a choice you chose to feel for one another after time spent together. I prefer to be in a great mood, and always strive to stay positive. A man that can make me laugh is a plus, one that laughs at my corny jokes is divine. Life is too short to be angry or upset all the time. I also like a man that can challenge me intellectually, can carry on a deep conversation regarding any topic. I am a confident person and its a trait that is alluring in a man! My friends would describe me as dedicated, hard working, honest, witty and spontaneous, playful and feisty. I’m compassionate, loyal, a down to earth nice girl with out tons of drama and baggage. While I am seeking a long term relationship I am very content being alone. I know what I want, what I deserve and am not willing to settle for anything less. Please feel free to drop me a line.....Being together in a quite, comfortable place where the conversation can flow free. Get to know each other maybe over drinks or doing something fun like cooking or even going for a walk around the lake. I'm very out going so any activity can be fun!

Looking for: man. In age: 49-69
I am a musician (electric bass) who performs blues, New Orleans R&B, jazz, Cajun/zydeco, and other roots-type music. I also freelance edit and was formerly the managing editor of a national music magazine. I have a BA and an MA in English literature, and spent my first year in college as an art major.I have two Australian shepherd dogs and love to hike and travel with them. Going out to hear live music, seeing movies, eating a fine meal, dancing, seeing plays, going to museums, and spending quality time with my many wonderful friends are how I like to enjoy my free time. I am very liberal politically, and am spiritual but not religious. My favorite radio stations are KALW (I like to start my day by listening to the BBC news), KCSM, and KQED. I don't watch much TV and therefore don't have cable, but I do watch the news, political broadcasts, and various shows on channel 9. If I'm around on a Saturday night, I'll watch SNL.My spiritual "goal" is to try to live each day as fully, honestly, and joyfully as possible, yet with the long-term picture in mind. When I was laid off from my last full-time job (as managing editor) in ***, I began to live that goal by using that opportunity to start earning my living doing what I love most—playing music. Not a lucrative profession, but unbelievably satisfying. I've never regretted making that decision, and have been a much happier person since following through with it.I am looking for a best friend and companion—someone who is as comfortable with nurturing as with being nurtured, someone who enjoys being communicative, fun-loving, sensitive, and decisive yet flexible. If music is not at the top of your list of personal loves, we will probably not make a good match, as it is an enormous part of my world. It would be a huge plus if we could play music together. Good luck in your search! It would be nice to meet for coffee or go for a walk. Then decide if we want to go for more.
