About Me

I enjoy the simple things in life and sharing good times with others. I would like to meet a gentleman with a youthful attitude, an easy-going personality and sense of humor. I especially enjoy talking with those who have a heart like mine and are interested and interesting. My favorite hobbies are cooking, gardening, walking, reading and dancing.I think the first meeting should be something casual....such as meeting in a restaurant with atmosphere at lunch time and having coffee or tea, and perhaps ice cream. If the chemistry is right for a longer visit, maybe a walk by the waterfront. It would be great to feel like I can't wait to see him again!

    Woman. 58 years old. Zodiac sign: Capricorn.

    Looking for: man. In age: 48-68

    Friendly, smart, kind, stable, sexy, fun, funny, attractive, considerate, responsible, sophisticated but down to earth; these are traits I am looking for and can offer up as well. There's no telling about chemistry unless you meet and see if you click or not... Integrity and a sense of humor is important and there has to be some sizzle too. I'm a big fan of banter as well as depth. Love music esply R&B and smooth jazz; like to dance, but haven't been out here much...my fun quotient is below where it should be! I do expect a man to know how to ask a woman out, how to act like a gentleman...I like confident but not arrogant, and have to have smarts not just looks...Mutual respect is a must. I am not interested in players/one night stands/casual random hookups, so if that's what you want, keep it movin'...and if you are married, not really single, not available, living with you ex, etc, no thanks...As far as type goes, I do like tall and fit... After living in San Diego for many years, I moved to DC area for 4 years, then to Santa Monica 4 years, and now have finally landed back in San Diego, Praise the Lord, never to leave again... I am not one of those women who want to go on a million dates with strangers; I am on here to meet someone I like and who likes me, and so I don't want to waste anyone's time if its not going anywhere. I hear there are some crazy women on this site...I am not one of them. PS I just got a haircut, so if that is going to send you into a death spiral, full disclosure...Interesting conversation over a beverage to see what the other person about and if we click...Sometimes its better to just meet briefly and see how that goes...

I need a man to make me laugh, and to be there when I cry somone who can interest me with intelligent conversation and motivate when I need it. Someone who can handl me when I am being a smarass ( which is quite often lol)I am extremely loyal I love fiercely, and will do anything for the ones I love. I have a twelve year son who means the world to me and at the end of the day it is his happiness that is most important to me. However I am ready to find some happiness with the right one.anything we both consider fun, I'll try anything once

    Looking for: man. In age: 63-83

    I'm retired but still full of spirit and silliness and think of myself as an individualist. My photos are recent and have been told I look quite sophisticated. It's how I look, NOT how I am. Actually, I'm very down-to-earth and unpretentious and prefer people who are the same. I was blessed to have inherited my Dad's sense of humor and you'll usually find me smiling or laughing at the absurdities of life. I usually make the best of things even when they don't go my way. I enjoy my home but like getting out, seeing new places and trying new things. I enjoy using my mind and have an interest in a wide variety of things. The things that make me most happy are very often the simplest things... time with friends, flea markets & yard sales (hoping to find an unexpected treasure), people watching, preparing a meal together (I'm a pretty good cook), going for a drive stopping for lunch at some charming spot we will find along the way. I've been single for a very long time and to tell the truth, I've never found the single life particularly satisfying. I enjoy being with others and what would make me most happy would be to find a parter I can love and cherish and share the joys life has to offer. I'm affectionate but not over-bearing, intelligent but not a know-it-all and I am considerate and thoughtful of others. There are many things I enjoy, but doing becomes delight when I can share it with the one I love. Honesty is most important and I treat others, including myself, with respect and fairness. Being able to share some of my interests with my partner is important to me but I think the most important thing to share is our values, our ability to communicate with each other and our willingness to compromise when we disagree. I think it's also important to respect our needs for private time.I have a delightful dog, a Havapoo (Havanese/poodle) who goes by the name, Shana. She's 12 lbs, very sweet and calm, and all who meet her love her. My music tastes run from jazz, the old standards, to the classics. I've been singing jazz all my life and a couple of years ago decided to study the craft and learn proper singing technique to preserve my voice till death do us part. I love a good discussion on many subjects: (currents events, what's been happening in our lives, sharing something we have recently read, thought provoking or funny movies, musicals and documentaries. Having said all that, I think the most important things in a relationship are the values we share, our ability to communicate with each other and our willingness to compromise if or when we don't agree and a respect for our needs for privacy. I am not a religious person but live my life with honesty, integrity and love. And after all is said and done, I'd love to meet someone who is kind, romantic, has some smarts, and is healthy with a healthy sense of humor and who lives within 50 miles of Portland. What's inside is more important to me than appearances although I must admit to finding excessive weight a turn-off.I think I'll end on that note and hope what I've written appeals to you.I prefer a first date to be very casual, meeting in a quiet, public place for coffee or perhaps to share a light meal. We'll get to know a bit about each other and share a few laughs. If all goes well we'll make plans to meet again. :-}
