Come on guys, SMILE!! Look like you enjoy life. Life is to be enjoyed. Show that you're connected. I'm 5'3" tall. I am not and never will be a Barbie. I hope that my pictures show who I am. I unfortunately am not photogenic, but I have been told that I am very attractive. I am a simple county girl who lives in the city. I was born and raised in the South and have many of the conservative values that are associated with that type of upbringing. That does not mean that I don't like to have fun. I love to laugh and I enjoy life. I am a lady and am looking for a gentleman who will hold hands and open doors. I am romantic, too. I love music - almost all types except techno, alternative and rap. I favor Country and Folk over anything else and also like Bluegrass & Southern Rock. I like to go to concerts and also love to sing. My ultimate dream is to find someone who plays guitar or piano who also sings. I have a good voice, so don't be scared. If you are not a musician but would support my passion, then that is ok, too. My favorites run from Rascall Flatts, Travis Tritt, Kathy Mattea and Trisha Yearwood to Fleetwood Mac, Dan Fogelberg, Loggins & Messina, Patsy Cline, Simon & Garfunkel and John Prine. I have not had the opportunity to travel much, but plan on working in at least one trip a year. I like the mountains more than the beach, but my last trip was to Florida. It's hard to pick out a few interests but camping and hiking and picnics are things I have done in the past that I would like to continue to do. I enjoy browsing through antique stores and flea markets. I love to shop or use shopping as an excuse to get out and walk around. I've ridden motorcyles, too. My Momma once told me that cooking is an expression of love. I learned how to cook from her and my grandmothers. They were great teachers. Family is important to me. My Mom is the oldest of 10, and we have a reunion each year. Daddy was an only child. I like crafts and home projects. My daughter and I *** water heater ourselves! Daddy taught me the basics of car maintenance and can do a few things on my own. I even recently changed a headlight myself.I am looking for someone who is, after a reasonable 'getting to know each other' period, looking for marriage. I believe in the covenant and that it is God's plan for us. I also believe that, except in very rare cases, an age difference of more than five years has to be seriously considered due to where we are in our lives at certain ages. I have a picture posted, so you should have one, too - within a reasonable time frame. If your picture can't be posted for others to see, I probably don't want to see it either.I will respond to all messages, even if I feel that we are not a match. I would ask that you do the same. It's common courtesy and good manners. I'm a mature person and can handle acceptance or rejection. I do not feel it is fair deleting a message without reading it or reading without responding. You can say that no one ever said life is fair, but you should give a peson a fair shake. If you don't you could be missing the best that life has to offer.This is old and cliche' - coffee or a drink, and then maybe dinner. Going to the movies wouldn't give you much of a chance to talk and get to know each other. If you like to sing, maybe we could go for a jam session that I attend or karaoke.

    I want a lot out of life and I've done a lot of things that people would probably find unique. I’ve lived in Japan. I’ve served our Country. I’ve jumped out of airplanes, repelled from helicopter struts and was the first in my family to get a college degree.Although it's true it would be great to be in a "relationship" I'm not "looking" anymore - but it sure would be nice if we could find each other. Even a "good" friend would be a great. Actually, right now all I am really looking for - is someone to ride the chairlift with me. Even better - I really would like to find someone with an Aspen Snowmass season pass. I like to ride every weekend and once in the while I can go during the week. Snowboarding this year seems very cold. It sure would be warmer if someone was sitting next to me. If I were to be so lucky to find someone to ride the chairlift with me and they were wondering who I might be interested in going along for a longer ride with....?? Well that man...He would be my best friend, and we would just want to spend time with each other, it wouldn't matter how or where... those are just "details". The man that found me - would have a good heart, a caring heart. He would believe that a person, an individual, could live a happy, successful life by themselves but when the right two found each other, that together, they could be even better (especially if they could ride a chairlift together). I know this must sound silly, I just want us to be happy and have fun loving each other. I want to walk past him and I want him to reach out because he can't keep his hands off me; just as I can't keep my hands off him. :) Silly, I know... but it's the truth. Oh... By the way... If you are allergic to cats and don't know there are allergy medications that work... don't *** please. I'm not a crazy cat lady - if I could have a dog where I lived I would have a dog. If I had an ocean I would have a dolphin. :). Yes... I have a soft heart for animals and I volunteer for animal rescue.So now what do we do now that the snow is gone? :(. We can still skate or play hockey. ... not that I'm any good at it but I do have a stick :) or we can go rafting ... I love raft trips. Movies are great and I didn't go to any during the winter because I had a ski pass.:) snowboarding of course, (I don't discriminate against skiers - if you discriminate against snowboarders ... your loss) By the way, I know it says that I don't drink - in general I don't - but I am not against it. I just don't like to drink alone or if I have to drive. I don't trust very easily so I prefer not to drink so I can drive. Besides... if I drink - I tend to giggle. :). Since there isn't any more snow on the mountains for awhile - snowboarding is off the table....I'm "borrowing" this from another's profile that I liked but didn't have the nerve to write... Going to a movie and then dinner or a late night snack is a great idea because it gives us a shared experience to talk about to get the conversation going while we get over our initial first date jitters. :)
