I'm a smoker. I have 2 dogs. My immediate family is a big part of my life. I have a small circle of friends that I'm very close to. I'm originally from Connecticut and have been here for 9 years & love it! I'm a bit of a homebody. I don't mind going out once in a while, just not all the time. I love going to concerts and all kinds of music from Elvis to Ozzy. One of my favorite bands is 3 Doors Down. I'm mellow. I don't have drama in my life and I don't like to be around drama. I just want to be happy with someone. I don't wear much makeup. Prefer to wear jeans & a t-shirt but can easily dress up. I like to shoot guns and watch football. My favorite team is the New England Patriots. I'm fiscally conservative and vote Republican. I do not have text on my phone, I would rather talk to you and hear your voice and personality. I own my own house & live in the country where it's peaceful. I work in Raleigh so I get my fill of city life on a daily basis. I do not have children and have never been married (never found the right one).     I was born & raised in Alaska but the cold and dark winters finally got old so I'm here in California, enjoying the sunshine and beauty living with my youngest son. Helping people is what I love to do, as well as travel, read, walk, hike, cook, camp, fish (I'm from Alaska!), watch movies, listen to music (mostly classic rock), and learn new things.I worked for over 20 years in medical offices but decided enough was enough when I realized that Western medicine just doesn't heal people, merely treating the symptoms; so I'm doing what I can to help people to heal. I eat healthy, organic or natural foods with the exception of the occasional ice cream! As soon as I get my own ice cream maker, I'll be making coconut milk ice cream in all the flavors that I love!! I'm working toward a total plant based diet though I still eat some meats, cheeses and eggs, though all are organic. I do have to say that if you're not willing to make the same move toward a healthier lifestyle (unless you're already there!), then there is no sense in contacting me because this is a life choice that I'm making and I want my partner to live a long and healthy life with me. Becoming spiritually aware is very important to me and I would like to find a partner who feels the same.I love to laugh, am very optimistic, don't like liars, pessimists, or mean people. I'm adventurous and spontaneous, love to drive to new places, try new things but not much of a risk taker anymore.
