Sometimes I think the Hopeless Romantic, yet strong independent woman, finishes last....but I am not giving up yet!! There is nothing like having that "connection" with someone special: they can look into your eyes and understand your mood; hear your sigh and know if it is a relaxing breath or sadness; see your smirk and wonder what is going through that devious mind; sit in silence, but be comfortable together; smile every time "your" song comes on; have a code word when it is time to leave a friend's party because it is time for "US". If you have had this before or want this in your life...then keep reading :-) I am open minded, love to laugh, have fun, make everyone feel comfortable...isn't that what life is about? I can be casual/one of "the guys", but like dressing up for a night on the town. I enjoy nights by a fireplace (or firepit) with wine and a good horror movie, to watching the Bears with beer and wings, to an all out big night dinner, drinks and dancing. Music (and writing) is a true outlet for me. Always seem to have the radio on, a CD in or going to see a band in town with friends. Enjoy Rock, Alternative, Dance, with some Jazz/Easy listening thrown in. Yes, still searching for that fairytale, but I also know that life is not perfect!! But when it is the right person, right situation...it all seems to work. My children are first in my life, and I always have their best interest in mind..HOWEVER, mommy needs her time too and I want to be happy! Family is important to me. Life should be a balance of working hard, playing hard and making memories with family and friends. So it helps if the person I am with has strong family bonds and kids of their own to understand the struggles and joys of parenthood. I am looking for someone motivated, knows what he wants to be when he grows up and can be himself...we are getting too "mature" for games aren't we? Looking for someone to date, that actually is looking for a serious, committed, "in love forever" relationship in the end. So if we click early on....just go with it, don't play the games, and enjoy the ride. Life is definitely too short!! I like someone who can make me laugh, but knows when to be serious, takes care of himself, and has a passionate side if that moment should come around. Physically I like tall men (well, taller than me at least)..just like that "secure" feeling when hugging or dancing with my head on his shoulder or chest. Yes I'm affectionate and like that in return! I have a warm heart, and alot of love, passion & friendship to give..and just want the same in return. I truly believe in chemistry, passion and finding a soulmate, so if it's not "there" after time, it just wasn't meant to be, and if nothing else, one has hopefully made a new friend. If you can be HONEST, open up a bit, be yourself, have fun, smile...we may be on to something! I do NOT smoke, and would prefer the same in return...Thank you!First dates, I believe, should be easy going...no pressure. It can be as simple as getting together for coffee, a drink, or a walk somewhere. You usually know if there is a spark or chemistry after a first date...so the next meeting can be more thoughtful.I tried on Halloween costumes once as a first meeting. Lol definitely took the edge off as we laughed together in the store.

    Hello! I am originally from the Midwest, and I have to admit, I love it here! The weather is great and the people here are so much more laid-back and friendly.
