Thanks for stopping by, it's nice of you to take the time to review my profile.Fun, flexible guy from New York, looking to meet a kind, friendly, bright, brave, suitable woman, with a nice smile, a quick wit and an open heart. I'm not looking to play games chasing around a lot of women, but I'm not pretending all this passing notes isn't crazy like 7th grade study hall either. I think patience, good communication and a sense of humor are important.For example, I like to hike/walk, watch college football, BBQ, making wine/beer, travel, and making music. Maybe you might not like any of those things. I'm not dumbfounded. And I'm not going to sugar coat it-- maybe you like things that I don't, (shoe shopping, roller blading, apple martinis, smoking or ballroom dancing). Does that mean we could not possibly find common ground? Of course not, but it probably means patience, good communication and a sense of humor are some of the keys to the kingdom of romance. Do I care if you can't type, spell, or put semicolons in the right place? No. But I do care if you can't be bothered to take the time to say drop in and say hello? Yes. Of course I care about that. If you want to know something, just ask. I'm done playing the games some of us still feel the need to rely on. Just be honest and open with me. It will save a lot of heartache in the long run.** I found two mistakes in my profile which need changing. First: I'm a taurus not an aries. Second : I'm 52 not 48 as stated. I found out the hard way that after two weeks it's too late for corrections.****Just a lil observation. Where has courtesy, consideration and honesty gone ? As adults we should be able to practice these attributes with ease. Has the ability to communicate been lost ? **The options are many. A simple meet for a drink or even an ice cream cone. Standard dinner and movie are always available. For those of you that think a movie is a bad idea...i disagree. Discussing the movie over dinner afterwards is a great conversation starter. As far as first dates go, something agreeable by both parties after a few phone conversations should start things off well.

    After serving this country for 30 yrs, I am now semi retired and enjoying an extended holiday as I search out a new carrier. In the mornings I enjoy sitting on my deck with a cup of coffee to plan my day and watch the world go by. Its also a good spot to watch sunsets. Sitting at a camp/bon fire after it gets dark and watch the flames dance is nice and relaxing after a long day.I like to get away on long weekends to do some camping. I have a motorbike but it is off the road for the time being. I also have an ATV that I enjoy getting out on the trails with and have some fun. I have also gotten into doing some woodworking (Intarsia) as a hobby.As for music, I listen to the older (70's-80's) rock music. I enjoy going out to the movies to just stay at home to watch one. (comedy, action, horror)I am NOT into head games nor do drugs. There is no need of that crap!As per the part about if I have kids, well I kind of do. I have two girls but they are of the 4 legged type with lots of hair. They are also very spoiled.I am slowly getting the land scaping at my place done (1 acre). Its taking a little longer to get to that mental picture that I have of the finnished look but I will get there one of these days.Well we could start off by meeting for coffee and talk to get to know each other better. See How things go from there, maybe go get something to eat or a movie after that.
