Independent thinking with mostly traditional values. No cigarettes, yuck! I am tall and prefer taller. I seek a confident man who is interesting to me. That requires that he be happy, fun, fit/HWP, accomplished, probably an entrepreneur like me, intelligent, adventurous, perhaps educated and generally above average. Former military a plus.I have a full military career behind me. I've have traveled or lived in 22 different countries and have seen a lot both good and bad. I don't see myself or my life as average, and that is intentional. I am now an entrepreneur and growing my business interests.I am health conscious, feminine and take care of myself. I am very open minded about others choices as long as they don't constrain me. My politics are very much Libertarian (Austrian School) and while I don't really follow an organized religion, I do have beliefs that are centered on living authentically, with integrity and behaving ethically - even when no one is looking. . While I like nice things, the accumulation of stuff is not particularly interesting to me. I would rather travel and explore. I have dogs and they are family. I enjoy boating, live music, cultural events, stuff that gets the adrenaline going, target shooting, white water rafting and will camp if there is a real bed available. I spent enough time in a tent in the military. I used to SCUBA dive but haven't been in many years. I enjoy a backyard barbecue or hitting the museums and theater and I actually do feel just as comfortable in jeans as in evening wear. I want one guy who will be my friend and lover. I want a life that is simple but full. I am relatively easy going, but I do have a pragmatic personality...duh military. I seem to fit best with extroverted, assertive personalities and I prefer a guy who is self disciplined, focused and ambitious. I am passionate about the things and people I love and I have a dry, sometimes dirty, playful sense of humor. I am not the least bit uptight or prudeish. I believe in being considerate and kind..."do unto others..." I don't do petty drama or mind games. I like things honest, open and very upfront. I rarely raise my voice in anger and appreciate self control when it comes to negativity. I have however, been known to call bad drivers very unladylike names. ;-)I work hard to find balance in my life and hope for the same from anyone I spend time with - determination, confidence and health are sexy. Balance, I find, is the hardest thing in life to achieve, but I see a lot of people who don't even try. And while I appreciate the compliment. Sending me a one liner that says I like your pictures will not evoke an answer from me.I appreciate a fella who is assertive and plans the first date. I assume if he's invited me, that he is interested in getting to know me, and I see the first date as his opportunity to show me a little about who he is in return... I am looking to see what is between the lines. What he chooses doesn't have to be fancy or expensive to be impressive. It is more about what it says about him.
