About Me

Hi there, just a short note to tell you a bit about myself. I am retired from a great career and am quite comfortable financially. I do contract work off and on, in Alberta if the jobs are short in nature. Plan on giving that up in July. I enjoy going bike riding, walking ,running, visiting local events, concerts, going south anywhere warm and sunny, deep sea fishing, attending local fairs and other things like the toronto zoo, western fair etc. Pretty much open to just about everything. I just plain like to travel and experience different cultures. I exercise everyday and would say am somewhat fit and in good health. I tell things like they are, don't ride the fence, am trust worthy, generous to a fault, love to help people, love animals, supportive and definitely not a player. I would like to meet a lady that cares about her appearance, easy going and enjoys the little things in life like going for walks, car touring, sitting out on the porch and just shooting the breeze, some one not afraid to try different things as we all can learn from others experiences of life. Would like this lady to be understanding and supportive as life also gives us our ups and downs, and little bumps along the way. I am a neat and orderly person and would like a lady that is the same. Not looking for a barbie doll but am looking for a gal that is average to fit in body fitness and one who likes to walk, bike and travel, and good conversation. I dress very casually for the most, a short and t shirt type in the summer and jeans etc in cooler weather but can dress up when the need arises. I would like meet a lady that like to travel, doesn't have to be to shangralia but different places. I love warm places. I like rock, easy listening, some new music (Adele , Maroon 5, Pink etc,) some country but not much into rap but music is a personal taste and each enjoys their own likes so I would go to a rap concert in my lady wished me too. I guess my goal is to meet a lady whom to spend the rest of my life with who ,communicates openly, one who loves with out condition, easy going, not afraid to tackle things on her own, simple in tastes and wants and is looking for a man who will support her and love her through thick and thin, be commited to, and respects her, has her back and loves me for whom I am and I would love for whom she is. I want her to wake up each morning and look at me and say I am proud to be with this man and I in turn look at her a feel such a pride in having this lady at my side. That's the gist of it.     Just a regular guy...no wait! I'm not regular, at all! I'm told I'm the nicest guy on earth, am not aggressive or pushy, and a real "can't do enough for you" kind of fellow. I work hard at my second shift, weekday job, pay my bills, and often have a few bucks leftover for fun. My job keeps me quite fit (for a 60 year old), as I have the same production requirements as the 20 year olds with whom I work. I'm very much a one woman guy, and miles away from being a "player." I love staying at home just as much as going out, and can fit in at any sort of gathering or event. Normally, though, I'm a jeans and a golf shirt sort... For fun, I'm an avid follower of golf...the women's game, mostly. Several years ago, I made friends with a top pro and her husband, and since then, I get free passes to any tournament in which she plays. The Women's U S Open is local, this year (Lancaster Country Club), and thanks to them, I'll enjoy all seven days there. To me, that's the life! I also play at the game, but don't get out nearly as often as I'd like...no one to play with. Love bowling, as well. I have loved The Beatles since they arrived on the scene in ***, but I also enjoy just about every classic rock band there is, as well as the great R & B of the 60's through the 80's. They lost me when hip hop became popular. And, I come complete with a beach! It's not much, but I have a little place in a quirky seasonal trailer park on the Elk River where it meets the Chesapeake Bay in Earleville, MD. Just an hour and a half away, so I'm there most weekends all summer. Casual fishing, the private beach, and real peace and quiet. Kind of a dump, but probably just needs a woman's touch. I have a 24 year old son, who has just moved in with me while going through a divorce. I also have a 20 month old Grandson who comes to visit from time to time. As for me, I do what I have to for me, and look after everyone else in my life as best I can. People are SO much more important than things! And, I grew up with a mother who taught English grammar, so I can actually speak our native tongue. But this being alone thing is getting old, so if you've grown weary of the same, please let me know. I know the one for me (and I for her) is out there...just need to find out where!     Hi. Thanks for stopping by! Ok, about me....I have a variety of interests .I do enjoy cycling and the outdoors. I love to be creative. I recently started to play the guitar.
