I prefer to take time getting to know one another to build a friendship and find compatibility first, and the romance will happen naturally. He has a great smile, is happy, likes to laugh, have fun and can see humor in daily living. Attitude and character tell me more about who he is rather than just his age. Often times, material things are used to measure success, but the man with a loving heart is priceless, at least to me! My favorites are spending time with those I love... capturing nature on canvas... lilac and peony flowers... the color of sea foam blue/green... Autumn with its blaze of beautiful colors... I absolutely love watching snow fall... sitting by a bonfire... looking up at the night sky and wishing on a star... I also enjoy going to museums, festivals, concerts, exploring new places and quaint towns, Up North, Mackinac Island, boating, love being around water: oceans, ponds, lakes (I will even fish, if you bait my hook... ha-ha). I am looking for a man who wants to get out and do things together... not just come to sit at my house. I enjoy doing random acts of kindness, sharing a smile and giving people reason to laugh. I enjoy travel and have experienced many great vacations on the East Coast, many states Out West, cruising the islands in the Caribbean, Rail Tours through the Canadian Rockies, Cruising the Mediterranean, and of course, visiting Goofy at Disney World.... and yet, there is so much more out there see!     I love pretty much anything if it involves being outdoors - walking barefoot on the beach, watching the sunset or the northern lights or shooting stars or the fireflies in the lawn, gardening, swimming, boating, camping, fishing - I'll even bait my own hook & take them off too but I do draw the line at cleaning them! I also like X-country skiing, skating, walking, relaxing on the deck, campfires, get-togethers with family & friends, and impromptu drives to wherever. It's not so much about what label is applied to the music, but rather, does it touch me in some way?I have a great job in a field that I enjoy (most days - lol!!) That said, it does not rule my life or consume my every waking moment. I can be shy and quiet or out-going and talkative, always fun-loving, happy, independent, and a down-to-earth person who doesn't require a lot of to be satisfied. Spending time at the mall or shopping is NOT what I consider a pastime. Shopping is a necessary evil - unless it's at Home Depot. The things I've achieved in my life haven't always come easily, yet I believe that the hard work, difficult times, and perseverance have made me a stronger and (hopefully) wiser person and I'm happy with where and who I am. Although I don’t need someone in my life to be happy, I do miss having that special man to share all of life’s experiences with – both the everyday events and the special moments. The person I’m looking for is someone who treats others with honesty, respect, and integrity, and is accepting of others and their beliefs. Or simply put, a man who treats others as he would like to be treated. A sense of humour is a must – if we can laugh at ourselves and find some humour in whatever life throws our way, we can handle any challenges.I'm the parent of two awesome daughters that have matured into phenomenal adults.
