Very diverse, lover of life, thinker, talker, often child-like (but not childish.) I value honesty and have little patience for any form of artificiality. (Well, except for Splenda ..... That doesn't count, right?). This means I am very forgiving of unintentional mistakes, but lose interest quickly when I smell baloney, or even bologna. (You hear that Oscar?)For the superficial fellas:I am a cutie ;-) but I am not going to fit your skinny-girl perception of beauty. I do not need to shop in plus size stores, but I have a lil' fluffy layer and I'm ok with that! I enjoy healthy eating and being active, but I am not driven by an obsession to be perfect. I take care of myself, but also allow the enjoyment of the tasty things in life. As a result, I know how to kick it into high gear when I want to shed a couple and can also just enjoy life, within reason, when I don't want to think about it too much. A few months on, a few months off....hey, that's a healthy balance! I am a smarty-pants science-geek, and need someone who can hold an intelligent conversation, but I recognize that intelligence comes in many forms. Conversely, I cannot be serious all the time. So please be smart, but bring on the silly!I teach high school...um...don't cringe...chemistry! Though it usually surprises people when I tell them. I love breaking stereotypes and showing others that a scientific mind and a creative soul can live in one body.A little bit of a girly-girl, but not materialistic...I'll go rough it with you, but I'm bringing my make up. I am passionate about people with a passion. What do you love, collect, know, participate in?Are you musical at all? A friend once said, "Hanging out with you, Shannon, is like a never ending game of name that tune!" There is always a song in my heart and head, so I would prefer someone who has at least attempted to pick up a musical *** can at least appreciate my musical soul.I also have a heart for our Creator, am a Christian and go to an incredible church on a fairly regular basis. I am not looking for someone who has it all together, but it is important that we share a similar belief system....at least at its most basic level. Bottom line: I am looking for my partner in crime. Someone to go on adventures with, to talk to, to connect with, to laugh at....um...with. I have my life reasonably under control and want you to have the same.
