About Me

I'm back, after quite a while away, so I thought it was time for a thorough update. The last time this section was filled in I listed 'baking' as something I enjoy. I can't believe there was a time in my life where I thought I should mention a love of baking to potential dates. Anyway...a few things worth knowing about me:Firstly, I'm not half as miserable as I look in my picture, I just hate having my picture taken and boy does it show if I try and smile during the process. I don't like baking. I'm a blogger and a fairly decent one, so I get to make my own days up as I go along which is just awesome. Honestly, I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing, and I get to attend lovely events and get regularly taken for experiences that I wouldn't a hope in hell of trying if I didn't do what I do, so life is good. I have a beautiful son who is not far off 2 years old. He has a dad who I'm on good terms with, so I'm not seeking a new dad for him, but I do need to only have people in my life who love children. Thankfully he's very easy and lovable, so it isn't much of a task and again I feel very fortunate to have just a great little man to call my own. Finally, I use crutches as I have a problem with my left leg. It's a long and tedious story that I won't bore you with and it really doesn't stop me doing much - I still drive, go out and about and carry my insanely heavy son around, but I thought it was worth mentioning. I like to think of myself as a happy, easy going and occasionally funny, optimistic realist. I love funny people - if you're genuinely funny I will almost definitely fancy you. Examples of funny - Ricky Gervais, Sean Lock, Adam Bloom.I would love to meet someone who I fancy the pants off and really get on with. I aspire towards as little drama as possible, so someone with equal goals would be wonderful. I'm really not interested in flings or casual dating and I would prefer to *** to know someone over time with the view to hopefully establishing something long-term, if it feels right. I'm not needy or desperate and I would much prefer to be alone than settle down with the wrong person. To conclude, if you're funny, kind and a grown-up then I would love to hear from you. P.S. I no longer smoke and rarely drink (maybe a couple of times a year - reformed wild child) so I don't think I would get on too well with someone who likes to drink a lot, nor could I be around a smoker.Whatever takes our fancy, although I'm leaning towards a quick coffee to see if there's a spark.
