Woman. 54 years old. Zodiac sign: Sagittarius.
Looking for: man. In age: 44-64
I am somewhat conservative in lifestyle, yet more liberal in beliefs.Enjoy a variety of activities- walking in a park/trail, walking the beach- love finding seaglass and driftwood, kiteflying, dinner out- pizza to lobster tail, watching fireworks, outdoor concerts, movies (like the drive-in especially),cultural events-theater, museum, parks.... maybe a picnic, casino, go to open area and watch the stars, weekend/day trips, board games/family games, and especially spending time with family and friends. Not a skier but more than willing to sit in the lodge by the fire while you do! Visit parents and relatives in Florida during April vacation.Enjoy Lowell Folk Festival in summer. Work part-time in summer and tend to vacation/relax the rest. Holidays are special-spend them as family- and willing to spend them with yours as well. Volunteer for Special Olympics-coach soccer.I enjoy my job and supervise some after school activities. Work in northeast corner. Enjoy seeing kids sports- grandniece is in gymnastics. Coached sports through town leagues in years past, have been a member of town committee to address barriers for those with disabilities, and had been "friend" for 10 years to an adult with a developmental disabilty until he passed away(he was a true blessing in my life). I do like to dance though I am not Ginger Rogers nor an MTV dancer by any means!!! Love having Sunday morning coffee while watching Sunday Morning and/or reading paper. Tend to eat more vegetables, pasta, and poultry...not a big red meat eater but you can be. Read more books during the summer months. Enjoy music- Alisha Keys, Luther Van Dross, Nora Jones, and most styles (vulgarity/degrading lyrics are not my taste)I love wearing flip-flops and dread wearing socks and shoes!! Would love to explore kayaking, cross country skiing/snowshoeing, and other activities with SO. I am open-minded to learning new things, seeing new places, participating in new adventures. Love being in an area where I get to be entrenched in nature..... see snow blanket the trees (don't care for driving in it), watch deer in a meadow, hear crickets at night while looking at the moon and/or stars, and see the first crocus and other flowers blossom. I like going into cities but like living in the suburbs, yet being a short drive to the countryside. Everyday I drive through the rural area to get to work and it is an enjoyable drive.Seeking: Someone who can share in some of my interests, has some of his own, and wants to create some new ones of our own, a man who balances adventure and downtime, a willingness to share himself with me on all levels, and looking for a relationship leading to marriage... understanding that it takes time to get to know one another and commit. Sense of humor a must. Gentleman, but not snobby. If you have a need to have your cellphone on and always looking at it while out with me/others, we are not compatable. Compatibility is essential. Family oriented- family/children are not baggage, they are a blessing!! Can we go out one evening and dig in the garden the next day? Jeans or a comfortable jacket and tie when needed? Would you be willing to wash pots and pans? Laugh the night away? Bucket list- Enjoy, appreciate, and plan future with husband; African safari; volunteer- community/environmental in another country/area yet explored; horseback ride on a beach; go to Driftwood Beach; visit new places; sky dive(once may be plenty); develop gardening skills; work artistically with glass- blown or fuse; enjoy warmer climates so may want to retire to a warmer climate. Appreciate all that life has to offer.. big and small, exciting and the mundane.*****Life is more about who you are with(caring, loving, communicating, appreciating, compromising, giving) rather than what you are doing... would love to share any or all of the above and so much more with my SO. Come grow old with me, the best is yet to be. (borrowed words)*****First date ..... breakfast, lunch,or dinner, a walk, enjoy an activity together...... I'm open to ideas..... somthing that gives us opportunities to talk, relax, and enjoy the time. Would like the date to be a memorable one!

Caveat 1! - I’ve been very fortunate to meet some great guys through online dating! However, we were in different places when it came to relationships. Ultimately, I’m here to fall in love and be loved (I know romantic isn’t it lol?!) so if you’re up in the air or know for sure that’s not what you want, that’s fine, I’m just not the girl for you!Caveat 2! - Babies, I want them! Tomorrow, god no! I still have so much I want to do… oh, and I still love a good sleep in or afternoon nap. You know that moment when you wake up, most often for me it’s because I need to pee (that part is sort of annoying), but then you get to roll over or crawl back into a warm bed – that’s glorious’ness! However eventually I am willing to sacrifice that (hopefully temporarily for 18 to 25 years)! So if you know that kids aren’t in the cards for you, I respect that, we just aren’t so compatible!Caveat 3! - Must love dogs! Although I don’t have one at the moment, I definitely want one eventually! Caveat 4! - You’ll definitely catch me b****ing about them from time to time, but I love my family. We’re small and complicated but need to stick together! Get this; for my university grad, the pack of us: my mom, my dad and his now third wife, my half-sisters from my dad’s second marriage and my nanny, (my dad’s mom who is still friends with my mom) all travelled, stayed at the same hotel, ate, and celebrated together. I’ve learned a lot from my family and my experiences and wouldn’t change any of it.More (less serious) stuff about me! - I love my job and I love my apartment. I enjoy going out often and spending time with my friends doing a variety of things. I’m open to trying just about anything at least once, and I take opportunities to learn and do things other people get excited about. I like getting out to events like the Lilac Festival, Banff Film Festival, Taste of Calgary (honestly though, anything food related), Wordfest, Market Collective, music festivals etc. (although don’t ask me to name artists and songs or get me to sing lyrics…haha). It's important to me to stay active; I play women’s soccer, kickbox, spin / bike outside once the snow and ice melt, do yoga and pilates and always look to try new activities like crossfit, burlesque etc.I know it’s cliché to say I love to travel but I have been so fortunate with the amount I have been able to do. I have spent time in SE Asia, France, NZ, the Emirates, Ireland, Croatia, Mexico, and several cities across Canada and the US. I enjoy planning for upcoming trips and look forward to planning with a plus one someday!A few other random things I love: turbo powered hand dryers, the overpass at 37 Street and Glenmore, being organized, a good thunderstorm, the sound of water going through my water heater, and the smell of coffee even though I don’t drink it that often.I am quirky so I’m looking for someone who can roll with that. And don’t worry, I’ll roll with your quirks too!Good conversation!
