As it states in my headline, I am shy at times but once I am comfortable with you I will open up. This always seems to be hard for me to do...to describe myself. Well here it goes: Most of the time you will find me at the beach either reading a good book or just sitting there & listening to the waves. Also I enjoy going to Starbucks again reading a good book or just people watch. Now as for dancing, I am not saying I am a great dance but I am willing to try. All the while I am hoping I am not making a fool of myself....haha. Some of my friends say I am a caring person, which I like to think I am. They also say I have a weird sense of humor, which I totally agree with. (And yes I said "totally." Going back to the 80's) Now as for the picture I have up, it's about 3 yrs old but I still look the same(Not w/that look).I should explain my expression in the picture, I wasn't pissed at the person taking the picture. But I do like it though. Yes I do smile (some say I do have a nice smile but I pay them to say that) & laugh. Also on a more personal note, I am a full figured woman or as others would say a BBW but I am comfortable in my own skin. Recently i join the gym....trying to get into shape. But I understand it does bother some, but to each their own. The type of person I am interested as a friend is someone who is out going, w/a great sense of humor but also w/a great sense of values. He must not be a great dancer but willing to try. Who also enjoys just going to the beach and relaxing. Also please be honest in everything, we are all a little to old to BS. If you feel you have to lie about something in your past or whatever you do now then you shouldn't be dating.     Okay, let's see, time to update this thing. :) . I am a pretty uncomplicated individual who is very down to earth and laid back. I enjoy a drama free life and prefer to keep it that way. I own my own home and vehicle. I have one son, who will be twenty in March and is out on his own. I am fortunate to have a job that I love that allows me to have a fairly decent amount of free time. I have a dog and a cat. My free time is usually spent reading, working on remodeling my house, finding antiques, going to estate sales or auctions and such, and going to church. I do like to watch movies, mainly drama and action, museums are also a favorite. I would like to do some traveling this year as well. I also like to spend some of my free time with my dad, helping him with various projects and taking him to scout out the various thrift stores in search of pieces of antique furniture that need rescued. Now let me give my disclaimer... yes, I have some extra pounds, I am aware of this and it is a work in progress. I actually just purchased a gym membership and am looking forward to starting on this journey but it certainly would be a lot more fun to share it with. However, with that being said, it is really disappointing to me to see all of these ads claiming to want a good woman with a good heart that has her act together and does not do drugs or the like....duh hello, here I am. But for those that cannot see past a few extra pounds, all I can say is thank you for passing my by because I don't know how I could ever survive in the glow of your perfection; I would think a lot of those that complain of getting hurt repeatedly would be much better served to evaluate a woman based more on the size of her heart rather than the size of her derriere, but anyway, enough of my sarcastic diatribe. If you are looking for someone who is loyal and respectful, with a good heart, then you know where to find her. Best of luck to everyone in their search.Hmmmm, this is sort of a difficult question. I would just like to be able to do something simple where we would be free to get to know each other and talk. Nothing fancy or extravagant. Something where we could relax and be ourselves, just two people trying to get to know one another.
