We celebrate Birthdays, go to plays, movies, concerts, play cards (Hearts and ***mostly) but we especially get together and watch the Vikings during the season. I also hang out with my friend Cathy at Caribou when there is time. Then there's Maya, Candace, Jennifer, my daughter Chara etc. I am very outgoing and social. I am the Adult Social Ministry leader at my church because of my "effervesent personality". At least that is how I was introduced at the annual meeting. :-) I attend a non-traditional Christian church called Unity South in Bloomington. It can be found on line and on *** is a spiritual church, positive and a way of life--which is in this very moment. The Rev. says we are not "New Age", rather "Seekers of Truth". We meditate and that is our communion with God. I also meditate with a group and at home.I love to swing dance--haven't been in way to long. I love eating out, eating in, --try to eat healthily-- live theatre and movies. The music I like from the 60's like Moody Blues, Jethro Tull ***. I also like some Jazz, Classical, and Meditation music. I have been a healer for as long as I can remember. Nurse for 30 years. Now into Pranic (energy) healing through God, of course. I just completed a series of classes titled "Christian Healing." I plan to continue what I believe are my 3 reasons for being here at this time: "To heal, to teach-children-, and to bring joy into peoples lives." ...it seems like age has a plan for us to lose everything, hair, teeth, eyesight, hearing, height, memory... and hopefully not, but possibly our minds lol! I am not always so bleak however my long suit is most definitely honesty; I am very honest. I am a walking example of contrasts...I am complex but drama free, strong yet delicate, intense yet having very basic simple needs. I feel better about buying something second hand, than I would if someone bought me a brand name item. I am very frugal but I am not cheap. My favorite number is five. I love the lulling sound of a kittens purr, and the poetic enveloping sound of the piano. My dream of being a nursery school teacher at my own school was usurped by an offer from my student Caroline's father, who just happened to be the head of personal for the GM Trim plant here in Windsor. I am admittedly terrible at math, however no algebra involved in figuring out that a job at GM trumped anything short of a chain of Day Cares (which was unlikely to happen). And so with this fate filled moment, the major course of my life was painted. I worked for 17 years at GM.I have a passion for cars, and over the years I have owned six different convertibles. I have traveled most of North America by car which is the only way to really see the countryI would like to share my life with someone, but it is essential that we start out as friends.
