About Me

I'm looking for anyone that I feel a connection with, whether it be as friends or more, only time will tell. I am NOT looking for a one time discreet rendezvous, a cheating lover on the side, or an ***, but more for friends to hang out with and do fun things with. I would like to explore our similar interests, and maybe expose each other to new interests. I am down to earth, laid back and enjoy a multitude of activities, indoors and out, and always open to trying new things. I prefer the old fashioned way of getting to know people....by spending time with them. I am not looking for love at first sight, but looking for a man who is willing to take the time to get to know ME as a person. I have strong beliefs, values and convictions regarding family, life and love. I'm hoping to find someone who shares these as well. I am open to other people's opinions and believe in some cases, 'opposites do attract'. I like to think I am a very independent woman, who is not afraid to speak her mind. I can give as good as I get, and not afraid of a good argument, and if ya piss me off, I'll let ya know--lol. I'm not so fragile that you need to censor what you say around me. I'm generally a happy person, who loves to laugh and be silly (yeah, sometimes ya just gotta laugh out loud even if the other person thinks you're nuts!). I believe in being 'feminine' but do not confuse that with being all "girly-girl" 'cuz I would rather throw on a baseball cap than worry about 'bad-hair-days', and I think 'less is more' when it comes to make-up. I am confident in my physical appearance and secure enough to accept my flaws. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say....I believe beauty is more than skin deep. I want to meet a man who can look beneath the exterior and be interested in getting to know the real me inside. I love family storys , but driving over the skyway bridge scares the hell out of me. And I love people watching, yet seem to have a hard time with eye-contact. (though I have been "caught" staring at my date once or twice *wink*)...Most importantly, I am a Mother of four sons; two out of the home and two still at home. My sons are 11 and 17 and I have 7, yes I said 7 grandkids! If you don't like young kids then I am probably not for you. So lets see who's out there, courageous/adventurous enough to give a great thing a chance...

    Hiya my name is Susann, I have been single 7 yrs now, and have no wish to repeat my first life with a new man just for the sake of having a partner. So having settled into my 2nd life and gone hell for leather to make something of it, but as you can guess still making mistakes and adjustments, some have been fun and some not so,that's life!!!I took a huge gamble which paid off and have just graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Biomedical science.I never thought I would get that far, but thanks to good friends who supported me, I did. And no, we do not always learn from our mistakes,(I can vouch for that) but can't say its all been a bundle of laughs at the time, but looking back, well that's a different story. I love music and it is probably my constant companion, I want to travel more, but have found travelling alone is not much fun, so hurry up and find me so we can travel asap.I admit to having gained weight in this part of my life due to many reasons, but now am in a position to do more exercise courtesy of my beautiful German Shepherd Missy.So if you fancy some long walks, throwing a ball which most times you will need to retrieve with Missy looking on, with that look on her face, questioning who is the superior race here. All joking aside it can be fun and its healthy and free. Question: Are all the best ones taken? some say yes. But they may not have been best for us. To search for the best , surely means when we find the best, we will appreciate and treasure them more.
