About Me

So here I am, trying to write a profile for myself, and trying to give you an idea of who I am and what I'm looking for. Walking on the beach, snorkeling, musical theater, amusement parks or just a walk in the park...any one of those interest you? But wait.... there is more than just that. I really don't enjoy the bar dating scene, and can't quite figure out how someone is supposed to get to know another person with loud music playing. Get me out there doing something we both like, or teach me something about your hobbies. I'm open for learning new things. I'm not a cold weather person at all. I live for hot summer days and tropical vacations. I have a deep fondness for Las Terrenas and one day I'll move down there. I love the culture, the scenery and weather. I am also open to travelling to other destinations. After spending time to raise my son, I finally bought my own house (I've lived in apartments all my life!) and I am loving it. I love the gardening decorating. It would be an added bonus to find someone also likes to work on the house, even if it's for ideas. My house is here only I retire, so I would like it to be comfortable while I'm here. I have 4 cats and just became the owner of a 4 year old English****r Spaniel, so needless to say, I'm an animal lover. There are lots of things I want to try or do but maybe need someone to show me the ropes. Dancing lessons, sky diving, yoga.... the list goes on. I would even welcome cooking or painting classes. Anything to learn something new! I'm looking forward to meeting someone who isn't afraid to be themselves right away. I also need to find someone who can find humour in everyday life. I'm a very affectionate person and love to cuddle.I've noticed that many guys post pictures of themselves with fish, playing hockey or with their cars. I must admit that none of these things interest me at all. I'll let you have your fun with these things, but don't expect me to get interested in them any more than I would expect you to get interested in knitting, shopping or "The Bachelor". If you do like any of these it's a bonus, but I won't force it on you. I have no anticipation of changing you, nor do I want you to change me. As for hockey, if you are interested in my dream of retiring in the sunny south then finding a hockey arena can be tricky. If you're a boater then you can make you hobby into some extra cash down there. I've received tons of "Meet Me" requests and I do not respond to them. Lastly, if you don't have your picture posted, then don't contact me. If we're all on here for the same thing, why are you hiding? Pictures will tell me something about you other than your looks. Like I said before, they show your interests, your personality and sometimes your sense of humour.A trip to Tim Horton's, walk in the park, or a drive in the country. Who knows where we'll end up... maybe on a beach down south for our retirement.

    Okay, I guess it's time for a real profile. Hard to take this site seriously sometimes. Let me start off with some of the things that I am not looking for from here. A booty call. Let's be real, I'm a single woman in a world with lots of men who are ready, willing and able. It's not hard to go out and get one. We all love sex, we know this already. But I'm not on here for that. I guess when you hit a certain age or stage in your life, the casual thing doesn't work anymore. To each their own, but it's not for me. But I don't need someone to come over and clean my house for me in the nude while I sit there and watch. However, if you do know how to lay a carpet (no, this is not a euphemism) and can do the job fully clothed, we might have to talk. I don't want to humiliate you for your enjoyment, stomp on your man bits, be part of your foot fetish collection, sneak around with you behind your wife/gf's back, or be a model for your "agency."I'm sure there are women on here that can fill those voids that I simply cannot. And with that, I wish you all the best. What I am looking for is a good SINGLE man. Hardworking, great family, good circle of friends, positive, classy, happy, silly, independent. I'm in the process of trying to achieve a healthy body, so someone who can challenge me or open me up to new ideas and experiences would be great. But realistically, someone who likes fat chicks because this body isn't going to change overnight. I like a man that smells good, takes care of himself and has a little bit of fashion sense. With the technology we have today, I'm not going to buy the excuse that you don't have a camera. Seriously?!? Your smartphone probably has a higher resolution than your camera anyway! And the classic, "I haven't had time to upload one." LOL Okay. If you can muster up a message that contains more than "hi"... then please, let's talk.
