About Me

The nice weather is here and I'm looking for someone to spend time outside with! I'm upbeat and youthful, with an enjoyment of learning and trying new things. Life is short and there's much to discover - and it's especially fun with someone you care about so I'm looking for a new best friend to share in the discoveries. Who knows what the chemistry is like until we meet?I am happiest being outdoors gardening, hiking/walking, camping, whatever. I like to go to outdoor concerts, cook dinner with friends, play games (scrabble, chess, pictionary, etc) and cards, watch movies together. I enjoy conversation and discussions with people even if we have different views. My politics are somewhat liberal and I'm involved in various community activities. Although I'm not religious, I'm a spiritual person. Traveling is one of my passions - I've been on 5 continents, but there's still so much more to see. My goal is to get to all the National Parks. The arts and music are important in my life - my taste in both is broad but music favorites tend to be some oldies like Van Morrison, John Denver, Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, Lovin' Spoonful - also like Celtic, folk, blues, jazz (Used to play the guitar and sing a bit myself). The man I would like to spend time with is open, honest and believes kindness is important. He'd enjoy conversations and be interested in many things. I'm an optimist, and I feel what we give out comes back to us. I feel we are responsible for our lives and need to make our community and the world a better place. As a teacher, I try to do that with my students every day.So don't just look at my photo...let's chat - maybe we can have an adventure together.An opportunity to chat and get to know each other is what's important - so coffee/tea in a quiet place would be good. In the nice weather a walk would be great.
