I am an easy going person looking for balance in life with a good man. I would like to meet someone who will take the time to get to know me as a person. It is much better when shared.My headline means I am taking applications for friends....and if more develops we will both be blown away but be mature enough to go along with whatever happens.....we are not always given the time and place at the same time...so go for it! Too many people sabotage their own happiness.....fear of being vulnerable will do it every time! I enjoy chatting with people but sometime it is overwhelming when too many people write. I want to at least acknowledge their effort (because sometimes is very hard for people to make the first move)....but time doesnt always allow. Life gets in the way...so please do not be offended if I do not answer right away, I will try to acknowledge in some form before it is deleted.I have never been married...people seem to think this is strange, but I always said if I ever got married, it would be to my best friend. Still looking for him. I have some very close male friends who have previously dated. We just came to knew we were not forever and ever, but we took the time to be friends first. I liked what I brought out in these people and think it is neat if they find someone that brings that out in them again...that is mature love for a person. You CAN love but not be IN love. I want to do it right or not at all.Effort is a biggie for me. If someone is not going to put forth the effort in the beginning of a relationship (when things are fresh and the person wants to pursue something with you), it is NOT going to happen when comfortable in a relationship and taken for granted. Effort ( or visible lack of) is a deal breaker for me. I can do MOST things myself, and after taking care of myself all these years, I am not going to settle.I would like to meet someone who does not smoke. I am very sensitive to cigarette smoke and cannot stand the smell of it and what it does to the surroundings...it just stays there..besides is not fun kissing an ashtray :-) and I do enjoy kissing grinI understand it is very difficult to quit if you have been smoking awhile...but smoking is an option! I dont want to come 2nd to cigarettes...I have done that before.Depends what we both feel like doing at the time. I have had first meetings at Starbucks for coffee, breakfasts at Ihops or dinners at Applebees or some quieter places. It also is controlled by the time frame we have to work with. If people really want to connect they will take advantage of the tiniest time slots the universe sends us :-)
