Once upon a time there was this little girl. She grew up in a small village, but longed for the bright lights of the big city, so as soon as she was able she moved to the city with big castles and bright lights. There she kissed a lot of frogs until one day she met a Prince. He then took her to an even bigger city with bigger lights and bigger castles! Of course like all Princes he worked many hours to pay for the big castle, leaving the Princess alone and bored. So finally she said goodbye to the Prince and she left to go back to her big city and live in her own small castle. After many years alone, she met and fell in love with the town fool, and they had two beautiful children. Now this Princess was a smart girl, so living with a town fool had many challenges. She tried to help the town fool become a smarter person, but to no avail. After many years of trying she gave up and left the town fool behind too! Then following her dream of living in a village near the sea, she took her children, her dog and made a long boat trip to a wonderful village on an Island. It was not too big and not too small, but just right! At last she is happy now living in her small castle again in a village by the sea! The only thing this Princess longs for is her happily ever after Prince. One day my Prince will come.Okay seriously, I'm no Princess, and I'm not really looking for a Prince! In fact a good sense of humor and intelligence are the main qualities I'm hoping for! I'm one of those people that finds myself laughing when no one else is. Have you ever done that? It can be embarrassing sometimes. Hobbies are walks and hikes anywhere around the Island, weather permitting. Sorry, not into hiking to the top of a mountain in the winter! I'd rather be in a tropical climate every winter, but I'm not that independently wealthy yet. I enjoy a well crafted movie. I love cooking for family and friends. Dining out with good company is wonderful. I love trying new foods and new places. Of course the restaurant selection in Nanaimo isn't the greatest, but we are getting some new ones with culture and good food! I love the ocean. Just the smell of the salt water is amazing. Soooo, if you have an oceanfront property, you will definitely score points with me...lol! I try to workout at least a couple times a week, but I do yoga every day. I work a lot, but when I'm not working, I'm spending time exploring this wonderful island! Love a good glass of red/white wine by a fireside or a beer (now and then) on a patio. My deck is ocean view, so it does just fine too! I am spiritual, but not religious. I believe in a power or energy that we can create our world with. I am a globally minded person. I think of the world as belonging to all of us, regardless of race, age, sex, or even species. I believe there is plenty to go around and plenty to share. I hope a partner would have a similar outlook. My kids don't want to hang out with me much anymore so I have free time now. I am looking for a spiritual person who knows who they are and wants to share in life's journey. As a Gemini, I have a very open mind to what life brings and I thoroughly love changes and challenges! You: more than anything the most important quality would be someone who is open minded and still learning. A man who welcomes change, as nothing remains the same and everything is always in motion.
