I'm sure I've done them too. Seriously. All of them. Drinks with some of that talking stuff. Maybe a live show (comedy/music). Sporting event. Chill bar with music and a little dancing afterwards. Something that involves us actually having to communicate is a must.

I am a firm believer that first dates should be molded to best suit the individual you are going out with. With that said I have always been a fan of starting out with a nice dinner. Spend some time talking in a quieter location, getting to know the person. After that, head out for a drink or desert where you can continue to listen to what the other person has to say. I have never been a fan of going to the movies or really loud bars because you can't hear anyhting, which makes it harder to connect.Again, I think all first dates should be different but this would be one that I would enjoy.
