My Self- After graduating high school I joined the US Air Force. My job title was Combat Rescue Helicopter Flight Engineer. My final tally upon getting out was ***lives saved. In ***my wonderful wife passed away unexpectedly leaving me and our two kids. We moved to Bend, OR in ***.What I'm Doing With My LifeI was going to be a male model, but it turns out I'm ugly, so that didn't work out for me. Now my goal is to get my Ph.D in electrical engineering. I’m also working on a degree in software engineering. I work very hard at my studies and so my grades have been all A’s so far. Being retired military, I’m going to school full time and spending quality time with my two kids. After retiring, I moved to Bend, purchased some haying equipment (tractor, mower/conditioner, baler, etc) but ended up going back to school rather than doing custom haying for folks in the local area.Among friends, I love telling jokes and making people laugh.When all is quiet, sitting in bed watching a good movie is a great way to finish the day. That, and a slice of cheesecake (one of my weaknesses in life...hehehe.)I'd be thrilled to find someone who is in descent shape and so could go do things with me such as snowmobiling, dirt bike riding or building things with me. I'd much rather do things WITH my family as opposed to doing "my own thing." After talking on the phone and/or sending ***, a nice sit-down meeting somewhere would be nice. We could introduce ourselves and plan a snowmobiling adventure. I have some great sleds and an enclosed trailer, so we would be quite comfortable getting things going. I love teaching others how to ride and watch them become great mountain riders.After a day of snowmobiling in the mountains, a nice dinner at Izzy's (one of my favorites places to eat), watching a DVD or On-Demand movie sounds great. We could also talk about the fun we had snowmobiling and look at some videos I'll have made while we snowmobile (helmet cam).When the weather warms, a boating trip to the lake, floating the river or riding the river on sea-doos. Dirtbiking if you've ridden before (don't want to injure you!). A nice walk on a mountain trail to see what we can see is always fun (and kid friendly too)!If this sounds interesting, we might have a lot of fun together!

    They say I am suppose to write about myself here. I have done a lot of things in my life. Some good, some bad. We all are human and allowed to make mistakes. Right? In my younger years... Ok Ok. When i was a kid, i played little league baseball. I was good. I played for many years. Then the drivers license came into play and my folks tried to teach me about being responsible. So, I got a job to pay my own gas and own insurance. While kids that were my age were being bought new cars and money tossed at them. I had to work for mine. I thank my parents for teaching me this.In the middle of my senior year in high school, dad put in for a transfer in his civil service job and up rooted all of us into a country I only read about in the history books. Did I hate it? No, not at all. I spent a lot of time diving in the caribean. I have also been chased out of the water by a shark and a green moray eel. Did that stop me from diving? I was 18 and had more balls than half the marines on that base.. LOL. Or was it less brains? LOL. Anyways, i continued diving and enjoyed every minute of it. When that job fell apart and I could not make ends meet. I trained as a truck driver. So, i have been driving trucks for the last 16 years or more. I do enjoy seeing a really nice semi truck. After 16 years of driving, I finally stumbled on a job that i really do enjoy. I hate the commute. But i enjoy the job and the people i work with.Hobbies? I have had a few hobbies over the years. I tried to learn out to build fishing poles so i can build my own and the way i wanted it. Not the way the mass producers wanted it. My first rod? You would have died laughing. My second rod? That sucked just as bad. I had to strip the second one down and have my best friend rebuild it so it would look awesome. Did i build any others? I sure did. Pick the the phone and call my best friend and tell him what i want and he would have it done in a month. I use to build plastic models. I have not done that in about 10 years. Now, my biggest hobby is playing an online game on the computer. Yeah i know. Boring.. Music? I tend to listen to classic rock, 80's rock and country music. Not so much country music during the holidays. You can pretty much find either stereo in my car or truck tuned to KZOK. I am not a huge beatle fan. So, I wish someone would smash all those CD's and records. That is just my opinion. You can find me watching something on a few channels. I am either watching NCIS, Mythbusters, sons of guns, top shot or some documentary on deep sea salvage work or something like that. You can also find me watching a good movie on on - demand.Hopes? Dreams? Goals? My hopes and dreams are to find a wonderful woman who will put up with my inner child. Yes i like to be a kid at heart. Goals? Why set goals? If you do not reach your goal then you will be hard on yourself. I can not tell you I am a unique individual. I can tell you that my heart is full of love. Then you are not really here looking for love. I am here looking for love and I know it does not happen in the first 5 minutes of a meet. Think about this. Scientists spend days, months, years playing with chemicals until they find that perfect match. It is a shame that a lot of people are afraid to date and make things happen. If you are afraid to date a person for a long time to build a foundation or cause that "SPARK", then you do not belong in the dating scene.I do not believe in looks. Looks has nothing to do with who you are on the inside. Looks has nothing to do with your personality. My heart, My soul and my passion is what makes me, me. Not my looks. It is the same with you. First date? Is there such a critter? Do people actually go out on dates? I am so rusty at this as it has been a long time since actually having a first date and not a job interview to be someone's man. So lets see. Not everyone is the same. So there would be some give and take and compromising. When plan A falls through we come up with plan B.I think we would start off with a nice dinner that we both agree on. Then if the weather is good and you would like to go for a walk somewhere and continue talking. Then we go. But then again, if you were a lot like me, It could be a nice dinner and then go shoot pool or throw darts or something that we can have fun doing. Like I said, I am so rusty at this first date stuff. Besides, who said the guy has to plan it all out? Maybe you have a better first date plan than I do and we just go with it.
