My goal in life is to be half the man that my dog thinks I am... ... ... Im not sure whose quote that is... But nothing could be more true for me!!! Hello! I'm Mark. I am a 43y.o. single white guy with short brown hair and VERY BLUE eyes. I'm 5'-8" and weigh just over 200lbs. (so that puts me right into the "a few extra pounds" category. I pretty much look the way I do in my pics, I guess. I am SINGLE. I AM SANE. AND INTELLIGENT!! Some say witty, but I prefer Clever over wit. I'm NOT AFRAID of romance or intimacy. I am a man of high integrity, and I'm old fashioned only in the ways that I think "a man's word is his bond" and I try to be mindful of that at all times. I believe in women's rights and empowerment. Treating women "right" seems to come naturally. I will open doors for you (I actually do it for all women) My ability to help out in the kitchen is limited to warming things up in the microwave, taking out the trash, and yes---I WILL DO THE DISHES. I don't like to cook, therefore I DO NOT COOK. I am grounded in my decision to do this, It's time to start the next leg of my life's trip by acquiring a co-navigator.I try to spell well. I am a GREAT conversationalist. And an even BETTER LISTENER. I respect your right to have an opinion, in fact I will ask for it quite often. (it's not that I can't make a decision on my own, it's because I shouldn't have to) I want to hear what you have to say (most of the time anyway) I Believe in mutual respect, in honesty, and in trust in a relationship. Our relationship will be built solidly on those 3 virtuous components.I am kinda embarrassed to say that as far as traditional hobbies go, I don't really have any. I mean I enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, camping, etc.and done them most of my life. Long drives with no specific destination can be fun as well. But can we really call those hobbies? What I do in my free time depends on what other stuff I have goin' on in my life at the time. Starting school *** 42 has presented it's own little challenges. However, for the first time in my life; I GET GOOD GRADES!!! I am a United States Army Veteran with a couple of minor physical disabilities. I have had many life, and character defining experiences through the years, and cherish the wisdom that I has come from them.My taste in Music is I tend to lean toward the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal stuff. Isn't it weird how as we get older, the music kinda changes genres? I never thought the day would come when Judas Priest or AC/DC or Def Leppard would be considered "Classic Rock" Did you? But fav. band of all time will be Metallica.... And thank God only women are going to be readin' this.... But I LOVE P!NK!!! P!NK ROCKS!!!! I am looking for women between the ages of 30 though 50. I don't think I really have a specific "type"of woman, as the color of your skin and how thin or heavy you may be, are not of much concern to me.. I seem to like women who are actually intelligent, (not the one's who just think they are) clean, well-kept, can hold a conversation about things other than the weather, who do have their own opinion, and I am really attracted to the ones that are attracted to me. It's okay if you are more educated than I (even if only temporarily), It's okay if you make more money, or have more stuff than I do. But MOST OF ALL... I just LOVE WOMEN and the thing I miss and want the most involves a high level of physical intimacy that I haven't had in a few years.. What I like the most are ALL of those things that make a female a female, and that separate women from men. I LOVE the fact that you have BOOBS (size doesn't matter...really, it's the mere fact that you have them that I appreciate) I LOVE the fact that you have a VAGINA!!! And if you don't really like using it, or have some kind of illness,physical impairment, or some other quirky hangup that makes it painful or difficult to have awesome sexual experiences,. PLEASE don't bother to reply. So I am not really looking for marriage, but am open to the probability of it becoming a possibility eventually. I don't know if I'm looking for a long-term committed relationship or even what I'm looking for at all. It would be cool to fall in love once more. There's something to be said about being in-love with somebody who loves you too!!! I think a good first date would be soon. This summer was wonderful. Fall is here and it is cold and wet. Anyway back to the first date thing, I don't know. I am an adventurer and explorer! I Love to do things outside. I appreciate beautiful scenery. So whether we go someplace to watch the sunset over the Olympic Mountains, go walk the boardwalk *** Alki, (or some other beach) take the dogs to the off-leash dog park, or go for a drink, or a walk about town... Hell we could even go back to your place and **** like savages;) My point being that regardless of WHERE we are,We will be talking, laughing, listening,learning, and getting to know each other. Whatever we are DOING..... You can bet it is EXACTLY what we should be doing. And that's how I think our first date could go. What would you want to do?

    This is the second hardest part. The hardest is trying to come up with a good, no, really good openner when leaving a woman a message. That's where the pressure lies.
