Welcome to my profile.I have a small story to tell first.My story is about change. See change doesnt come easy to most people. Hell I will be the first to admit that change scares the hell out of me, but I will also admit that change is a necessity of life. Without change we cant move forward as the human race, we can't grow as individuals and we cant be the best person we can be in our short lives. Sometimes it takes a single moment to realize that change needs to happen. My moment was less then a year ago. It was a simple moment but it was one that made me realize I needed to change. Just to let you know for a few years I have just been living my boring life of waking up, going to work, eating, sleeping... yadda yadda yadda. It wasnt very exciting. Because of this I started to grow irritable and mean towards people in my life. I never really looked forward to my day. Then I met a woman. Things were great, things got better and I got better for the most part, but the shining moment that made it all click for me was this... The woman and I were contemplating on what to do that day, when my mom called. I was on the phone speaking with my mom in my usual and now habitual tone of being irritable. I can't remember exactly what the conversation was about but during the conversation without me even thinking I said something the woman I was seeing at the time hit me. Not very hard mind you but enough to realize it was a bit more then a love tap. After the hit she blatantly said "Don't be so mean". I was floored. No one has ever pointed out that how I was speaking to my own mother was mean, not even my own mother. I couldnt comprehend what I had said to make the woman say that, but if she was saying it, then it must of been true. This single moment made me realize it was time to change my life. I will forever hold a special place in my heart for that woman for this simple act even though we are not together anymore.I had to let this woman go and unfortunately will probably will never see her again, but her short time in my life has given me back my own. It has opened my eyes to a whole new world and for that I am so thankful I met her. Thanks for reading!P.S. I would also like to point out, this realization wasn't for her but simply because of her.P.S.S. The point of my story isn't about the woman. Please don't think that. The point of my story is that given the right circumstances everyone is capable of change. Also thank you all for the kind words about my story. Much appreciated! =)Ok so here is who I am pretty much laid out. Keep in mind this is just basic stuff about me and there is a whole lot more if you take your time to dig a little deeper and REALLY get to know what I am about.I'm a hard working individual. I work full time as well as my own side projects. I run my own small business and I am currently looking to improve my current professional knowledge by adding a few more certifications under my belt.I am actually having a great year. I set out a bunch of goals to complete before the years end and so far I'm ahead of the game on them. Couldnt be happier about it! = I'm usually out ***times a week these days and have been getting back into great shape. I haven't felt this good in years!! Although my body doesnt feel so good in the morning lol If you are ever so daring my usual schedule is Sunday nights at Courtice park from ***pm. I dare ya to meet me there!! ;)I'm looking for my best friend first and foremost. I would like to meet someone with the same interests as me as well as different ones because I believe learning and growing from a partner is one of the best things a relationship can bring you. I also like someone who is going to stand WITH me not by me over the years to come.(pause for a commercial break)Cheers I'm not into the whole dinner and a movie thing. I mean who actually really wants to do that on a first date anyways?First date I feel should be something interesting that both can learn and have fun from. I mean hell let me take ya skateboarding or something. =)

    A little about myself…I am a very hard working dedicated person and I live life to its fullest. I laugh often and am very optimistic. People seem to natural bond with me due to my positive outlook on life. I think my smile is contagious. :) I have 2 amazing young children, ages 2 and 5, that I simply love. My 5 year old daughter is growing up to be the sweetest, kindest little lady every father wishes for and my 2 year old son already has better skills in charming the ladies then his father ever had, lol I am a member of the Canadian forces, I love what I do and am very grateful for all the opportunities I have had, and all the friends I have made during my military career thus far. I guess I just like the challenge of the forces way of life, that being said, I don’t bring work home with me.:)In my free time I try to spend as much time with my children as possible (they don't live with me, but I have them every other weekend), I enjoy spending time with friends, whether it be having a back yard BBQ, or just sitting around talking over a glass of wine, I enjoy biking, 4 wheelers, canoeing and camping in the summer and coasting with my kids in the winter. I always try to keep busy doing something. I work out at the gym, aka (I pick stuff up and put stuff down) lol at least 4 times a week, it’s the best way to release stress I find and I always feel relaxed after a good work out.I enjoy helping others more than anything else. I would almost anything I'm doing on hold if someone I know needed real help. I am incredibly honest and trustworthy. I would expect my match to have the same qualities. That is extremely important.I have a great, maybe sarcastic, sense of humor. My humor is along the lines of Simpsons, Family guy, Peter Russle , Big Bang, stuff like that.
