I always wanted to be a filmmaker, and after trying in the classical way…moving to a big city and trying to make it in major productions…I gave up on the ridiculousness of it all. I spent a long time searching for myself, living in various cities and working various jobs. I did this until the day I realized my two passions in life…wanting to serve the community, and that I didn’t just want to be a filmmaker, I am a filmmaker.So as a mature student, I went back to school and earned a joint degree in Psychology and Sociology, with a minor in English. I volunteer weekly at a local shelter for the homeless and at-risk. And I am the owner of a production company…making corporate and training videos and academic documentaries. I've also produced my own science fiction web series, and have written and am currently directing my first feature film! I'm very excited! I’ve learned what I love, I’m doing it, and I want to share the joy.I am a massive geek, completely into science fiction and pop culture and movies and technology and film history and music of most sorts, and it would be really great to be with someone into the same things. As a film buff, I love a good night in, or out, with a movie. I love to go hiking and camping. I do my best to stay fit. I enjoy racquet sports like tennis and squash...though mostly for fun, I rarely play with the rules in mind. I like to go for bike rides. I eat right, though I’m not the best or most experienced cook. I love being outdoors in the summer, but admittedly, I’m not the biggest fan of winter…despite often appreciating its beauty. I do my best for the environment and I’m a lover of nature and animals.I'm looking for someone to share inspiration, and maybe a cool soul to wrap an arm around while enjoying, exploring and learning about life. I believe inspiration and passion are the most important things, so I'm looking for someone who's creative and artistic and has a lust for ideas and interesting truths and can spend all night discussing anything. Getting creative with ideas artistic and scientific, social and personal, sexual and friendly, political and silly, all while steeped in red wine and smiles is a wonderful night. I’ve learned sexual chemistry is important, and hope to share that gift of mutual intimacy. I’m pretty laid back, and search for the same. I'd like to find that perfect someone who is not only my partner, but also my best friend. I’m also looking for someone with a vast sense of humour. I truly love to make people laugh, and of course, love to laugh a lot, myself. My sense of humour is sarcastic, dry and silly, intellectual and witty, and I will laugh at anything and everything, all the taboos...death, my own and other's misfortunes, the plight of the nebulous "lesser man." But don't take that as a lack of empathy, as being able to laugh at something while also acknowledging its seriousness can go hand in hand. It's all about time and place, and I do take it as well as I dish it. If I offend people, whether through my humour or my honesty, I will be sorry, but it might happen again. Don't get me wrong, I don't use that as an excuse to be a jerk to a waiter or others who deserve your respect, and I have little tolerance for rude people.I am often a hopeless romantic, and I do not believe chivalry is dead, as long as it’s outside the realms of being part of the patriarchal problem. I am proud to be sensitive and caring and compassionate. I want to share something meaningful with someone wonderful.So...that's a taste of me.     First and foremost I am a father of 3 great children that will always come first. I also have my kids every weekend for the most part.
