About Me

**If you don't know what RAF is, just ask**So far, my biggest take aways from my profile is that I don't photograph well, nobody reads my profile, and my "best matches" are all too young for me. The meetville "experts" say that if I send you a message, you'll read my profile before you read that *** better be a great profile. Here goes nothin'...I'm a fairly urban kind of guy and while I don't dislike camping, it's not near the top of my list of fun ways to spend a weekend. The musician in me loves artsy stuff like galleries and "cultural events" but truth be told, I have a weakness for a good dive bar too. I try my best to eat healthy (I got rid of my microwave YEARS ago and never looked back) yet I have a strange compulsion to perfect my fried chicken recipe and eat cookies all day. I bake a mean loaf of bread as well, if I do say so my self. On an early weekend morning you're likely to find me taking a bike ride or a walk with my dog. She's a bit grey in the snout these days but still full of puppy enthusiasm when it comes to fetch. I cut the cord and only watch TV if it's something I can see on netflix, so chance are I'm not up to date on the latest episode of whichever show is the hippest one at the moment. I have a pretty broad selection of music & currently I'm mostly listening to the black keys, but that will change.;I love 'Run to You' and 'Summer of '69'" I'll turn around and run faster than you an say "soundtrack".A few points I'm willing to discuss/debate with you over a pint/coffee and/or on a walk:1: Star Wars > Star Trek2: Nespresso > Kuerig3: Biking vs. cycling4: Pork Belly > Pulled pork5: Just how over rated IS Peters' drive in?6: What do you mean, "what do you mean?"?7: The implications of using the LHC.8: Wether or not video games are a waste of time.9: Which food truck is really worth hunting down. For clarity, I wasn't paying attention and put the wrong birthdate on here so I'm slightly older than my profile says. I am tattooed. Not "I have tattoos", but "I am tattooed". It's actually an interesting story if you care to hear it,but that's an "in person" one.I hope that's a good start and you can always drop me a line and ask me about what makes me tick!Seem like a good idea to you? Thanks. Pint? Bike ride? Photo safari? Waterfight?

The Mayonnaise Jar When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day is not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and two cups of coffee.A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and fills it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured it into the jar. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous “YES”. The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed. “Now,” said the professor, as the laughter subsided, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things - God, family, children, health, friends, and favorite passions. Things, that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the things that matter like your job, house, and car. The sand is everything else -- the small stuff.” he said.“If you put the sand into the jar first,” he continued, “There is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that areimportant to you...” he told them.“So... pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Worship with your family. Play with your children. Take your partner out to dinner. Spend time with good friends. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the dripping tap. Take care of the golf balls first -- the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.”One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled and said, “I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.”Photo date?
