Hello all, Not sure what to put here...Have tried several approaches to this and nothing seems to work. I think for most, by the time people reach here in the profile they have already made up there minds as to weather they are going to contact someone or not. People just say that's the pessimist in me, but I believe I'm a realist !!!, and am driven by the evidence and facts. Being optimistic only leads to heartache and disappointment, a lot like playing the lottery.... LoL ... I am hear looking for that One in a Million to spend the rest of my life with, and it seems like, I'm more likely to be struck by lighting than finding it again. Ok, I will get off my soap box now So, I guess if you are still reading this I will try once again. I enjoy working outdoors and getting to be who I want to be, and not have the hassle of punching a time clock. In my spare time I'm up for most anything from large outdoor concerts ( Country or Rock ) to sporting events, to Intimate walks or horseback rides through the country, just listening to the sound of nature, to a candle lit dinner I have fixed for a special someone ( Yes I can Cook ),or jumping in a plane and fly off for a weekend get away. I have been divorced for almost two years now and being in my forties, it just seems as if time is passing me by. I don't need someone in my life for happiness, but I would still love to find someone to share my life with. I love kids, ( and was a very good step dad ) but would love to find someone who still wants to have and start a family since I have no kids of my own. Realistically, I don't see it happening, but I can dream, and if nothing else find someone to enjoy what life has to offer together. I’m loyal, honest, caring and compassionate. I’ve been told I’m too generous as well. I like to laugh and joke around. :) I’m not afraid to admit when I’m wrong, I can say “I’m sorry” and mean it and I expect the same in return. In all I guess, I would like to find a best friend, someone to grow old with. someone to spend the best years of our lives together. Some choose to let that story become a horror movie or filled with drama, others choose to turn it into a great novel with a happy ending. ................ Look forward to hearing from any and all.......... Meet somewhere for a drink and see where it goes from there .

Some fun facts...-my parents are still married...and pretty old:)-I have one older sister....she is 51.-I have two cats that I rescued (found them in my parents' backyard) ten years ago. I love dogs , too...just don't have any right now.-I like to golf, but it's not an obsession-I bought my house in ***and still haven't lost it due to any poor financial planning.-I paid my car off years ago and have no immediate plans to replace it...I have been tempted from time to time.-I've worked for the same company for 14 years...some positives and negatives to that.-I like to read...magazines don't count.-I hate the section where we are asked to list the one word that best describes our personalities...I could describe myself as many things on that list...although rarely a princess and never a diva.-I will not willingly eat anything with coconut in it.-I recently started working out in earnest after a layoff and I am sore all the time...I expect this to fade sometime soon. (The soreness, not the workouts...hopefully).-I have a degree in chemistry (seriously...that's not a bad joke about my romantic skills).-if you are going to send me a message, please make it something with a little more substance than "Hi:)".-I would like to start hiking soon...could use a partner. -I love the beach...didn't get to go once this summer...again, would love to have a partner to go with.I'll add more soon... I think dinner or appetizers and drinks is the best, simple way to go on a first date. It allows you to talk and get to know each other (that's the point, right?) without too much pressure. Someplace quiet is usually best...a crowded, loud restaurant can be a bad idea. I have a couple of more original ideas, but I'm saving them.
