Being raised by my Grandmother I was taught to wait for a woman that I am interested in. This often puts me in the friends zone. I like a wide variety of things like disc golf, skiing, music, movies. I do not like to really watch T. V. unless I am around someone who watches. I love to go out occasionally and have a couple drinks and dance. I am a very social person and will talk to just about anyone. Conversation is key when it comes to me. Viewpoints from different people can always give you a better view at subjects that you may be interested in. My uniqueness (is that a word?) is that I am a good problem solver and I like to make others laugh. I went through a rough spot for awhile and now back on the horse to ride to a better future for me and my children. I do not mind if you have kids. I have 3 myself. The system has made me a part time daddy when I was not one before. I really like a secure woman that is honest and loyal. Getting to know new people is fun but I really would like to be serious with someone. Realizing this I do not want to just jump right in. I would like to do the dating thing and see where it goes. If anything I will make some new friends.Update: Feel free to message me, I like to chat. I have been trying this online dating thing for a long time and I have had not much luck at all. I like when a woman can be bold and message me or even make the first move. Not insecure at all. Just a gentleman. Then on the other hand I am mean to mean people because they suck! Also, I realize how men can treat woman, I dislike it because 1) They do not deserve it. 2) It makes me a stereotype. 3) There is already too much hate in this world. This makes it very difficult for the good one's to be able to socialize and date. Some where I can get to know the person in a public setting that would be comfortable to the person I would be on a date with. I am not picky when it comes to doing something and I enjoy just having a good conversation!

To start with, I'm very shy. At my job as a lab technician I hardly even look at people, let alone talk to them. An advice column I read in a newspaper a while ago makes me think I must have Asperger's, but what can I do? And anyway, even Miss Manners doesn't know everything, hard as that may be to believe. Beyond that, I guess I'm nerdy. I love novels and popular science books. I like T.V., although, excepting "Star Trek" and "Futurerama" reruns, if it's not on PBS I'm probably not interested. The science and nature and interview shows, those British mysteries (";- it's just as well I work second shift, since otherwise I'd never turn it off. If anyone else saw "; last weekend, you should definitely write me; we can talk about the greatness of Judi Dench, a subject on which I, for one, could go on all day. For music, increasingly I listen to classical, though occasionally I can still sneak in some of that old-time rock, like the Killers. On weekends I go to museums and go hiking with my dog. Anyway, I'd love to meet a person I could talk to and do simple things with. Though I've been getting braver about seeing movies by myself, I'd still love to have a date, terrified though I'd be at first. A person who makes me smile, and who hopefully would be at least moderately amused by me in return, is all I (or anyone, I think) could ask for. Oh, I don't know. If it was summer I might say a picnic, complete with a covered basket with baguettes and a wine bottle sticking out. Or else, tennis: I'm like the new McEnroe (not really. Actually, I haven't been on a court with a fence high enough to keep me from smacking the ball over it every other shot.) As it is, did I mention I like museums? I expected to fall asleep but ended up enjoying myself a lot. Just sitting in the audience before the curtain came up and looking at all the people was memorable.
