About Me

I am looking to meet new people and get out and enjoy life a little more than I have had time to the last couple years. I spend a fair amount of time on the road and am looking for exciting people to get out with and enjoy each others company. I like the outdoor life and sports. I love live music and large events. If the Oilers are in town, I will be at the game! I moved out west as a teenager (hitch-hiking with my big brother at ***and never looked back. Thankfully the rest of my family followed and we all now live in the West. I hope to spend portions of my winters down there for the next few years. The atmosphere, climate, and people are just amazing. I'm usually a very relaxed and friendly person, but when life/work stress gets to me I am frustrating to be around, and I know it. I usually take those times to be away from people and usually try to catch up on my reading (which I'm always behind on) or focus on other personal endeavours.- *** I tend to load a lot of activities and outings into small time frames, so when it's my time to have a good time, you can bet I'm going to have it no matter what. I also love trying new things and having new experiences. I am not looking for a particular type of woman, but I would like to find someone who has grown out of the nightclub scene but can still go out and dance a night away occasionally. I also need someone who is not self-involved and understands that there is a whole world going on around us everyday, and I hope you know something about it. I am very intelligent and a complete autodidact, so I need to be with free and active thinkers. I don't say this to be critical or mean spirited. If your idea of conversation is re-capping what happened on your favourite TV show, I will fall asleep. I believe in the old saying - Simple minds talk about people, Average minds talk about things, but Great minds talk about ideas. Going out for dinner and a sporting event would be nice. Going out with a mixed group of friends for an afternoon and then dinner later is always nice too. Perhaps a round of golf before the snow flies? If I know a little about you I can probably come up with something clever and fun. Leave it up to me and I won't disappoint. I'm very curious by nature and will probably find your interests as appealing as my own.
