I grew up in a small town. I still look at people when I walk down the street, and watch oncoming drivers in case I might know them. (So far this hasn't caused me to be in any accidents!)I read books. Ones with words in them. They're a great way to learn new things.I'm a hands on dad and my kids are a big part of my like. I enjoy jumping in puddles, building snowmen (snow-people?), and kicking leaves; I'm very much a kid at heart.I play guitar, not well, but well enough to be in a band. OK, so the band was just my friends, and we had to read the music and words, but it was fun while it lasted!I'm an outdoors enthusiast; downhill skiing is my favorite. I love the exhilaration, the fresh air, and beautiful scenery. How ironic that I grew up on the east coast surrounded by ocean and beach. (Don't get me wrong, I have nothing wrong with the ocean or the beach!).I go to the gym; it's good for my health. I'm intimidated by the big guys working out. I'll stick to a weight that does make me grunt, thank you.I have a job that I'm happy with and career that is going well. Although it is very technical, the people interactions are what keeps me on my toes and makes the work rewarding. My ducks of life are pretty well all in a row.I enjoy live music. The atmosphere and excitement of thousands of people enjoying (signing at the top of their lungs to) the same music can't be beat. Sens playoff games can have the same effect, although there is less singing.Music on a pub scale is also A-1. Usually accompanied with a frothy mug of suds.My favorite radio station is Live 88.5, and I like driving cars with manual transmissions. This can be a bad combination for me, as I've been known to stall the car at a light when I start toe tapping! Did I just admin to that online? Maybe a 'meet' more than a 'date': A coffee at a unique coffee shop, or drink at a fine pub / wine bar, followed by a stroll down the canal. Maybe a stop for ice cream! Relatively short and simple to see if we hit it off! :)

Where to begin? Well, I am not sure what you can truly learn about someone from reading what is in this box, there is no substitute for a real conversation, but here goes.For starters, I am happy in my life and where I am in this world. I worked hard to get where I am and I am proud of my successes and not ashamed of my failures. I am not concerned with chasing money or success because, as cliché as it is, they don’t bring happiness. Like everyone else I have made my share of mistakes but I would like to think that I have learned from them and they have made me a better person.For the most part what you see is what you get with me. I try to live a good life and treat others the way that I would like to be treated. I do my best to keep an open mind and not judge people before I have a chance to get to know them. That being said, I don’t have time for people that are judgmental or who think they are better than others. After all, you never know what you may be missing out on somebody great and never know it!I work hard and don’t make any apologies for it. Some say that I work too much, and they may be right, but if I am going to do a job I am going to do it to the best of my ability.Most people would tend to think that I am shy and somewhat of an introvert, but that is only until you get to know me. I have been told that I am funny and charming but it is definitely not intentional. I am pretty low key and not much of a partier but I do enjoy a casual night out and beers with friends. Outside of work, I try to stay active when I can. In the summer I like to get out for a ride either on my mountain bike or my road bike and in the winter I try to get out on the skis, or spend time on the bike trainer. I also try to get to the gym when I can, but there are only so many hours in the day! So what am I looking for? Basically I am looking for someone with similar interests to spend some time with and see where things go. Someone who is interested in getting out and exploring, and who can give me that little push when my motivation is lacking.
