About Me

My life may be considered a little unique by some. There was a time that I once lived the "normal" life as many do in the city... We're told at a young age...or at least I was...that when we grow up we should get married, buy a house, find a good career and settle down. Well, thinking that this was the right path, I did all of these except getting married. I soon realized I was never really happy. Sure, there were things along the way that brought me temporary happiness, but not that soul touching, heart pounding happiness that only following your heart and achieving your dreams can provide.So...I packed it in, and moved to the country to create a new path for myself.I now live in a very well equipped off grid Yurt (google it)...it's been almost 9 yearsI have hot water, a bath tub, full kitchen, and all the things "normal" people have...but...I don't pay any bills as I generate all my own utilitiesI've built my home, and all the utilities myself and am very proud of what I've accomplished.I grow a good portion of food and am wanting to do so much more...market garden, larger CSA, animals...generally I'm a farmer wannabe.I've been considered by many as a hard worker, passionate soul, dreamer, good conversationalist, open, and honest. I don't play games and tend to talk things through.I'm a gentleman and still believe that chivalry is alive and well. I LOVE my family and friends and would do anything for any of them...no matter what.I've never been married as I've yet to meet the right person. I've spent a great deal of time working on myself and don't feel I need anyone to "complete" me or to balance me. I want to be with you because I love spending time with you, and you bring happiness to my days. I know what I want and what I don't. Please be open, honest, compassionate, hard working, take care of yourself and those around you, and are will to accept the fact that someone will treat you well...just because...and for no other reason.It's hard to get the feel of someone from a profile, but if you feel that we may have a connection and a great deal to chat about...drop me a line.     A little about me they say. Well, this is the tough part. Selling yourself without sounding desperate or arrogant. Challenge accepted. I love the outdoors. Fishing, hiking, quadding, fire-pit evenings, teaching my son the ways of the woods. Whew! My family is spread out but we are still very close. We huddle up to conserve body heat- as the hold will be cold- and have a lengthy discussion on our separate goals and aspirations. Perhaps even have a nap together.Now, the tricky part. Upon landing at Bejing International, we take our evening clothes, escape the plane undetected, slip past the Chinese military security, scale the barb-wired fences and hail a rickshaw.We will need supplies. We will have our courier drop us off a few blocks from our final destination (still unbeknownst to you). Having haggled for fair prices for an extension ladder, climbing shoes and rope, we then head a couple of booths down to grab a basket of genuine Chinese cuisine. Doubt there will be any chicken balls but we will ask. Then we walk the couple of blocks.Soon... We will turn the corner and our destination will be clear... The Forbidden Palace. Perhaps even fireworks will go off.Just spit balling.***Or... We could grab coffees and go for a nice walk.
