; raised. I like to go to movies and I also enjoy just staying in and watching movies.I work outside a lot so I tend to stay in during my offtime. I play guitar. But I'm also a great fan of Randy Rhoads & Metallica. I love music. I studied music in school. I really enjoy sports. I grew up playing hockey, softball, golf. I am a huge Oilers fan but I also enjoy the Eskimos. I love the NFL. I've never truly been into the bar scene. I'm looking for something real. But it would be interesting to meet some new people and perhaps even make some new friends. I must admit I'm kind of shy. But after getting to know people I do tend to open up. I think going for coffee is always good & simple. Anything fun of relaxing is good. Maybe even going to the park. Going for a walk. Or going somewhere & shooting a basketball together. Dinner, lunch, breakfast, etc.

My life may be considered a little unique by some. There was a time that I once lived the "normal" life as many do in the city... We're told at a young age...or at least I was...that when we grow up we should get married, buy a house, find a good career and settle down. Well, thinking that this was the right path, I did all of these except getting married. I soon realized I was never really happy. Sure, there were things along the way that brought me temporary happiness, but not that soul touching, heart pounding happiness that only following your heart and achieving your dreams can provide.So...I packed it in, and moved to the country to create a new path for myself.I now live in a very well equipped off grid Yurt (google it)...it's been almost 9 yearsI have hot water, a bath tub, full kitchen, and all the things "normal" people have...but...I don't pay any bills as I generate all my own utilitiesI've built my home, and all the utilities myself and am very proud of what I've accomplished.I grow a good portion of food and am wanting to do so much more...market garden, larger CSA, animals...generally I'm a farmer wannabe.I've been considered by many as a hard worker, passionate soul, dreamer, good conversationalist, open, and honest. I don't play games and tend to talk things through.I'm a gentleman and still believe that chivalry is alive and well. I LOVE my family and friends and would do anything for any of them...no matter what.I've never been married as I've yet to meet the right person. I've spent a great deal of time working on myself and don't feel I need anyone to "complete" me or to balance me. I want to be with you because I love spending time with you, and you bring happiness to my days. I know what I want and what I don't. Please be open, honest, compassionate, hard working, take care of yourself and those around you, and are will to accept the fact that someone will treat you well...just because...and for no other reason. It's hard to get the feel of someone from a profile, but if you feel that we may have a connection and a great deal to chat about...drop me a line. Happy fishing, and thanks for taking the time to read my rant...together...then have a stiff scotch and listen to the CBC by the fire.

I'm looking for the right one, the one woman(yes a woman, not "girls" if you catch my drift) who can "have your back" so to say. That is a hard thing to come by these days,no doubt. I'd like someone with a head on their shoulders. Someone that is real, and not too materialistic. Dont be a phony, it is so very.....very un-attractive. I would say i'm a good guy,and you would be pretty hard up to find someone who says i'm not. I mean obviously i'm not perfect, no one is. I dont base everything on looks, but that being said there has to be some sort of physical attraction going on. You might be the best person ever, but if i'm not attracted to you, i'm not,and it most likely wouldnt go any further then a friendship.I think my biggest downfalI might be that i'm too quiet, and people tend to take from that, that i'm too serious???.....and a lot of people dont like that. Well that couldn't be further from the truth. There is a time to be serious and a time not to be,I believe, and people that know me know this. I'm just quiet, shy I guess. But, i'm loyal, trustworthy, reliable, hard working, sociable, and overall...a pretty straight up guy. I see a lot of "single" people on here, but it doesnt seem like anyone is too serious about changing it? Why bother putting yourself out there if your not gonna take a chance, and take the first step?? Gotta get to that point first, then we'll find out, right?
