Music mainly (rock and metal had long hair and was at the mayfair every weekend in my youth) but my taste is pretty open now even if i do skip more than half the rubbish that seems to have worked its way on my Ipod. Films. too many to list I am quite a film buff so to speak huge dvd colletion (which I grant you sounds sad)TV. not a soap or reality tv fan in any way and watch way more American TV than British again the list would be endless.Going out when I get the chance though I have to admit (probably my age) a nice pub with a seat and some good conversation appeals more these days to standing shoulder to shoulder and 6 deep at the bar does that’s not to say I don’t do that as well.Seem to have got stuck in a rut of working drinking and playing the Xbox or watching a movie and need to get out of it or find someone to share that bottle(s) of wine.Have no idea what I am looking for, never really had a type no matter what my friends say, just someone I click with then see what happens between us. I do not go out enough to meet anyone. My friends are either far away or maried and this makes it hard to go out and meet anyone. I am a romantic but realistic as well. I want to meet a woman that I respect like family, a best friend. Confident and full of charisma. I want to think to myself "I can't believe that this woman loves me" . That is how lucky I want to feel. Is that too much? I want that because that is how I want to make a woman feel as well.I like to know how things work. To know what something does is not enough, I need to know why. That goes for just about anything. I love social interaction and rarely get intimidated. I like to look good and do not consider that to be concieded and if so then I don't care, a nice smile can get you far in life. Being nice gets you farther than being a bully. I don't like jealousy or vindictiveness. When I can, I like to make people feel special. I am on the underdogs side but do not pitty them. I usually initiate and end up leading but that is because I do not like standing around. I am very lucky that I have the family that I do. I do not like to go to bed without resolving the issues of the day, no resentments, they are evil, like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die. No matter how good things are, I believe that even more positive change can be just a matter of a little effort. I think that it is a shame that in this society, some women look for financial security ahead of all of the other forms of security one looks for in a lover, like love. I love money but it is the earning of it that gives it value. I think that the correct chemistry between a man and a woman is one of the most important ingredients to a great relationship.There is more I am sure but I will take my time.I would love to start a family of my own. I can't imagine that it will be a white picket fence and such but I know that it will be very close and special. I think that a lover can lift one up and bring out the best in their partner no matter how independant and successful that person already is.I have everything I could ask for at my age: A great family, job, health, attitude... everyhting but someone to share my happiness with and that is very important to me.If I message you it means that I think that you are extremely attractive and that there is something in your profile that put a thought in my head about you. I usually just say whatever is on my mind at the time with no rhyme or reason. It works in person but I see that it can make me look a little weird or informal in an E-mail.OH!!! If you love cars and are sort of a gear head then you have met your man because I am into cars like most men are into sports which I am not into at all.Aside from all that other bullshit, I want a woman that has a passion for something other than the oposite sex... I am so sick of seeing bad relationships. I am 37 and all of my friends that got married at a more average age are now divorced or getting divorced... It makes me sick to see people together for the wrong reasons. In my book, you don't just say to someone, "I like you, I am attracted to you, I like the way you think etc... Lets get together" it is not business and if it were then less people would get married and it would be better than what it is anyway. You have to be lucky to find the right partner. That is why this internet thing is so hard. It may get people together and even married but that does not make it good or right. Have a lot of fun
