Hi, how y'all doin? So, what to write here? I could try and be all romantic (I think romance is better personal though) or humorous (although dry and/or sarcastic doesn't translate all that well to the written word,) but what does that really say? I mean let's be honest being funny or romantic all the time gets tiresome and can be somewhat creepy (a lil' humor.) So, let's just get to it. Why am I still single? I was a bit of drifter in my 20s, had a lot of fun doing a lot of different things while visiting a lot of different places. Most of my relationships were easy, and, I'll be honest, it's kinda fun being the one your friends live through vicariously. But, I wanted and still want more out of life, more substance. My 30s have been going back and finishing my degree, starting a career I can be proud of, giving back *** taking, that sort of thing. I'm not afraid of commitment, in fact I have most likely stayed committed too long with the wrong women. But, so be it, we learn right, or at least we should. So, here we are, trying to find a better someone for whatever reasons. I want to settle down, get married, have kids…but it's got to be right, and not rushed (and no that doesn’t mean a ***year engagement.) There is no reason we can't have fun and maybe learn something while we find out. I’m not trying to be a player or anything like that, just being honest and dating should be fun, not an endless series of job interviews.For me, it being 'right' would be a woman who together we are better.…better. A woman who is attractive in and out. Someone who is like coming home too. We should be able to have fun together, learn new things…a great friend. I don’t want to say too much cause part of the fun about dating is getting to know each other, that and I really tend to write too much. That said in the interest in having something for us to talk about at the start here are a few random facts about me. --I am passionate about education knowledge, the world we live, I gave up trying to save the world, but I think we can make a bigger impact within our communities...I know what you are thinking, no republican would ever say that...but it is still true-I believe there should a constitutional amendment outlawing the DH-I believe men and women ARE different, and isn't it great! But, we better figure out how to communicate with each other-I believe kisses are necessary and should be long, wet, and savored. Hugs are pretty great too-I value honesty, loyalty, perseverance, and honor and I try to live to those ideals in all aspects of my life-I still play hockey, like staying in shape and doing most of the ‘guy’ types of things like fixing things (as long as it isn’t electric, not so good with that) working outside, watching sports etc-But, I also like getting dressed up and looking good for a night on the town or at the Opera or theatre or somethingSo, if you think we might hit it off, send me a note and we'll see! And if not, best of luck in your continued search through this overloaded and complicated world of dating we all find ourselves in...but it's better than getting set up for blind dates by married friends right? Something relaxed and fun that doesn't feel like an interview

I am pretty bad at this so I am going to go off of the examples and see where it ends up.One hobby that I take pretty seriously and do very often is go to the gym. I go to the gym 4 to 7 days a week. It would be nice to find someone that would be interested in going with me. It would be fun to have a workout partner. I also like to play video games, if you are a gamer thats a plus. But, don't worry, I don't play non stop, I don't even play every day. I don't know if this is a hobby, but I do enjoy kicking back on the couch and watching a season of a show on Netflix. I enjoy cooking, not really a hobby, everyone has to eat. My goals. Is it bad that I can't think of any right now? I would like to eventually get promoted out of the department I work in. I love my job so it wouldn't bother me to stay right where I am at. I think what makes me unique is my past jobs. My past job would be the time I spent in the military. I say that makes me unique because of all the people I talk to that say "I almost went into the military." I am still in the IRR and just hit 19 years of service. I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps and 8 years in the Army. The remaining time has been in the Army Reserves.My taste in music is simple, I listen to just about anything. When I say anything, I literally mean anything. It surprises me sometimes the kinds of music I can get into.I am really into tech type stuff, computers, electronics, whatever. I would like to think I am pretty capable. I have wired houses, built computers, supercharged cars, lifted jeeps. I guess I like to work with my hands.*After looking at some profiles I see that a lot of women want children. Thats great, just not for me. Medically, I can't have anymore kids, and I'm not interested in changing that, sorry. I am horrible at making plans. I really am. I am up for whatever you would like to do. Is that really a bad thing?

How do you just say that you're a nice, smart, successful guy looking to share his life with his future soul mate? I don't really know if that will happen here, but I look forward to taking some chances and seeing who's out there.I work in IT and although it took some time I am finally comfortable in position I am right now professionally. Having said that, I'm not married to my work and I have very nice balance between work and pastime. I even got my master degree while working full time, but i don't want to brag about my GPA, lol.I try to find time for my Spanish class, movies, concerts of my favorite bands, Knicks or Yankees games. I am not really a baseball fan, but for several seasons had free pass and besides going to ballpark involves much more than just a baseball. Basketball on the other hand I really enjoy watching. I enjoy traveling and I try to visit different country every year. I love swimming, especially in the open sea. It doesn't involve a chain restaurant, a roller coaster or a movie. It may involve drinks, eating, excitement or entertainment. It definitely involves me, you and a long moment where we don't want to say good night.
