About Me

My friends ask me how I'm still single at my age and I really don't have an answer for them. I've had some long term relationships that just didn't work out but I'm still hoping the right one is out there. I'm a pretty outgoing, easygoing person. It's rare that I'm not smiling or laughing about something. I enjoy watching and playing most sports especially football, basketball, volleyball and hockey. Saturday mornings watching Husker football is just fine with me! I like live music whether its a local band in a small bar or a big act in an arena. I listen to mostly country and rock (got to have some 80s hair bands in there) but there's a mix of about everything in my collection. I like being outside and staying active, but a night on the couch with a dvd is nice too. Not a fan of horror movies but enjoy action, sci-fi and a good comedy. I prefer a little hole in the wall bar over a club and a good local restaurant over a big chain. I'm originally from a small town a few hours west of here and moved here after college. I'm still hoping to find that one person who makes me smile without doing anything. Somebody to share life with, celebrate the happy times with and support for the not so good times. I would still like to have kids of my own someday, too.Are you out there??

I've realized that once you hit thirty it gets harder and harder to meet people. Our lives get more involved, our responsibilities grow, our circle of friends become more settled. All limiting our random chances of meeting the "one". Plus, as a natural introvert I've never been one to randomly approach strangers and strike up a conversation. Which is why I've decided to try online dating. Who am I? First and foremost I'm a traveler. Once a traveler always a traveler. I like to think that I'm modest, unassuming, unpretentious, honest and self effacing. Open minded, perpetually curious, nonjudgmental. I'm an intellectual and a libertarian. A lover of the arts and unexplainable mysteries abet one with a scientific logical profession. A quirky non conformist who loves unique out-of-box thinkers. If you are looking for the polished everyday American male type probably best to look elsewhere... What am I looking for? I love conversation. Relish hearing life experiences and relating them to mine. Makes for better perspectives and a fuller richer life in my opinion. Meeting folks is the key, it's your invitation to the dance. Keep it simple at first. Conversation over a cup of coffee, or a meal, or just a drink

May I suggest an "old fashioned" before you read my profile? Now that you have a drink in hand...First off: I want something real, someone real and something awesome. So if you are here for a "hook-up" you can kindly stop staring at me like a piece of dessert. Please and Thank You... :-) The hooking up part is easy, it's the relationship that takes effort and work right? Now with that being said, of course I am awesome and amazing and a real man... etc etc etc... BUT!!!,,, I do NOT race motorcycles or cars or mopeds or lawnmowers everyday... But for some strange reason it sure looks like a lot of you do. I am totally "stoked" for you and your amazing lifestyle. I guess my awesome life is a little more mundane. Come to think of it, maybe if they would stop doing tons of crazy stuff ***they might have some free time for that "nice relationship" that they describe that they want in their profile. Right? Then they wouldn't need meetville at all Right? I'm so smart...I do believe I come across much better in person than in written form and pictures. I have some great pictures with my kids but I am not posting pics of them on a dating site. Still not sure why people do that. In most of my other pictures my big frog eyes just seem to dominate. Oh well... "the better to see you with my dear." I am a smart, independent, free-thinking, passionate, creative, driven, laid back yet motivated, gentleman. I am deep and introspective, goofy and fun, proud and respectful. I love to think and daydream and I work to make those daydreams a reality. Stuff happens, but I stay focused on keeping things "real". I'm happy with who I am. I can be intense and I can also be intensely mellow. I love the art of communication and conversations. I am confident, not arrogant. I love to cook and I chew with my mouth closed. I also know when to be a goofball and when to be a gentleman and yes in fact I do own my own tux.I love art, not just the kind you hang on the wall, but all kinds... especially anything to do with music and theater. I am a giant audio nerd and really just a nerd in general I think. Music is a huge part of my life. (may I top off your glass?)Don't get all weird if I add you to my favorites list.. I did that because I WILL write to you but can not at the moment. Thanks for actually reading my whole profile and since you made it this far my *** "godariango" and my *** that way you can see I'm a real person and of course see a little part of the world from my perspective.Optional reading material... "other things I am really good at":*getting distracted*what was I talking about?*staying up late*talking about the things i used to be good at*talking about things i want to be good at*being good and some of said things*giving massages*making people feel comfortable*sitting in traffic*doing accents**planning imaginary vacations on travelocity*getting sh*t done*falling down*being open *being honest*getting back up*doing what feels good*taking chances*making the best of it*Singing*Making great music*being a nerd*COOKING*finding cool things to do*laughing LADIES!!!! give men a lil credit... just because a man says you are beautiful or pays you a compliment does not mean he is being pervy... just say thank you. Southern hospitality is not dead and chivalry is alive and well in some of us.I tip my hat.
