About Me

I am an intense guy who moves to the beat of his own drum. I took steps earlier in life to give myself the freedom to find and enjoy the things that matter to me the most. These include athletic, social, intellectual and business pursuits. I have traveled to nearly 30 countries, lived outside of the US and plan to do that again. I have a great life and am looking for a similarly minded woman with whom I can share it.I avoid getting bogged down with things that limit my ability to enjoy life like owning too much stuff, making commitments for things that really do not matter (relationship commitments matter to me), and doing things that compromise my health.I have three major categories on which I focus:AthleticsI was a terrible athlete when I was younger, but going to a sports-infused university changed that. I trained in gymnastics during grad school. I took up a strength sport about four years ago and set a national record two years later. I started looking for a rougher sport which led me to MMA. I realized that the best fighters were first wrestlers and moved to wrestling. I now wrestle with some of the best people in the country who train me to be a better athlete and enrich my life.Mentoring younger peopleI thrive on helping younger people achieve their dreams. I came from a rural place with few resources and took longer to figure out certain aspects in life. I strive to help others avoid long learning curves and achieve more than they believe they can. Many of those people have become the best connections that I have made in life.ProfessionalI have done quite a few things, but get to spend my time on adventures as I see fit.
